I can't tell, does Tarpals have articulated arms ? I know it is a kit-bashed
-
Four figures AND an animal? Blows the last two or three years of battle packs completely out of the water. Hopefully I can find this, I never saw the last few waves of Target exclusive Clone Wars packs.

If they're reusing the Gungan Warrior sculpt (which it looks like they are) then yes

Really, I never remember any target star wars exclusive really being hard to find.

This is a must for my Naboo Shelf!
-
Nice set I just wish the Tarpels was new, it's the same one from the 2005 TRU exclusive Battle pack. Glad to see the Gungan shield back in play, I kept a few of my old shields for my troops.
-
I hope we get the new Battle Droids in this pack.
-
Where was this set at NYCC 2011?
-
good to see some normal tan colored battle droids hitting the shelves. was getting disappointed seeing all the red ones lately. i will be on the lookout for this set when it hits target next year.

The way things are going they'll probably use the mold from the Theed Generator playset.
-
Seriously. If they can dust off Comm-Tech Han, I wouldn't doubt it.
-
All I really want is a battledroid that doesn't sag and bend before I even have it out of the package. I've relegated all my battledroids (except the POTJ security ones, which seem to be made from a more rigid plastic) to the back of my separatist display. When they fall, they typically stay that way for a couple months while I sneer at them in disgust.
-
I'm looking forward to this set when it's out, but I'm kinda hoping the Gungan changes a little. Not that he's bad, just would be neat if he were different is all. Same with Tarpals, but that seems unlikely too.
-
I'd actually like them to put that Gungan on a card, with the boomer ball thing and shield. Maybe a slightly different paint job for variety. I still need about seven more Gungans.
-
Take teh belt off and put a new one on, and I'd be cool with that. A nice generic warrior.

Apparently cancelled/postponed... from Echo Base News
One item that was shown at San Diego Comic Con, but was oddly absent from the New York Comic Con, was the Battlefields of Naboo pack. Is this set still slated for a January release?
This exclusive pack was unable to find a retailer home for 2012. But it's something we can keep on the back burner for the future.
-
That's... eh, that feels alright.
It was interesting but the old Tarpals sucked.
-
I guess I am just a bit confused how a pack depicted as a "Target exclusive" in their slideshow ends up not find a retailer home.... say... at Target?
-
Because Target decided to drop it, perhaps they are savy now and know that repacks dont move as fast as newly sculpted items?
-
Maybe Target did a little research and saw that it was a completely rehashed idea (http://www.rebelscum.com/OTCnaboofinalcombat.asp)? Perhaps they wanted something that had a little more effort put into it?
-
Saw this at Galactic Hunter. The battle pack made it to packaging stage or at least sample packaging stage.

They got the Battle Droids wrong, officer antenna's, no packs.
But hey, for $2000, we can overlook the little details. :D
-
But it's got an exclusive Kaadu! That alone must be worth at least a grand! ;)
I can just see someone buying this and then them showing up the next month at TJ Maxx.
-
I'd still like to see this hit retail... but for about $19.99.

Agreed - if it got this far, who's to say that it won't eventually be coming out - like timed to better coincide with the release of the MTT?
The only thing going against it is that it advertises those two dud Target 2-packs on the back. If the balance of those Target 2-packs ends up at TJMaxx/Ross, like the WalMart ones did, who knows? These could be sitting in a warehouse somewhere hoping that whoever takes the balance of Target's stock also takes these....
