After clicking links for almost an hour and getting re-directed back to the main Sideshow page, I finally got to the page where I can actually order this stupid thing... only to find out that the exclusive is already sold out
******* stupid.
Get on the waiting list ASAP Dave. Chances are good it will be converted. You can also pre-order the regular so you don't miss out on the figure, and if it converts, cancel the regular.
I also managed to snag the exclusive. It took me about 25 minutes, but when I did get through took about 1 minute to check out. It seems I get a few grey hairs on these pre-order days.

Like most, love the Indy Trilogy, and I think they ended it pretty well with "The Last Crusade". If Spielburg/Lucas/Ford think they might have something great, than go for it, but I get the feeling it's just another way for each of them to prove themselves they still got something left.
Also, Harrison Ford said recently in a interview (don't know exactly where) that he is absolutely sick and tired of answering "So, when are you doing Indy 4?" questions, and just wants to get the whole damn thing over with.

Sideshow has also informed us that next week's Newsletter will give the name of the next 12 inch figure:
"Placing bets on who will be the next Star Wars 12-inch figure? If so, you don't have long to wait to find out if your bet is correct! Pay close attention to the Newsletter next week to be the first Star Wars fans to feast your eyes on a Preview of the next character in the 12-inch line. Will it be Leia? Or maybe Lando? Qui-Gon? Fan favorite Aayla Secura?? Or perhaps we will pull a trick out of the bag and start the Sith line off with a bang - after all, surprises are our specialty! Tune in next week to find out!"
Any predictions as to who the next fig will be? I think it will be a Sith, seeing as SSC at Toyfair has said to "Keep your eyes and ears at the ready…".
The last line seems to allude to Dooku, but he has never had sith eyes?, and what about Vaderkin? I wonder if the next fig will be the SDCC Exclusive, or maybe we might see at least two Sith by July?

Looks like Luke will be shipping within the next month or so.

What I will say is there is a good chance I might have listed the figure above... But you can never tell with me.
They did not have any info on if any of the exclusives would be held back to sell to people who couldn't attend the show though...
I am pretty certain they do hold back a very small alotment for sale on their site after the con.
That's okay, I'll just give someone extra $$ to order two of them online under their name, (unless, of course, there's a limit of 1 per customer)...
So far it seems SSC is pretty strict on the 1 per person on the Exclusives rule. I am sure they will stick to it on this one as well.

From what I hear from people who have purchased SDCC SSC Exclusives, is that you pre-order on their site, and pick it up at the con. Only the person who ordered it can pick it up.
IMPO this is the ideal way to do Exclusives, oh an of course limit it to 1-2 per person. Hint, hint Gentle Giant?

As of now, the lead speculation is that it will be a Sith Eyes Anakin. From all the hints, and the fact that usually the SDCC SSC Exclusive is some kind of retool/variant of an existing figure, that's my best guess. It would make the most sense, since it would be a simple eye repaint, some tattering/burn damage on the clothing, and knowing they have SDCC coming up produce a slight retool of the existing head cast to give him more of a "messed up" look. Remember the old adage "Why make one, when you can make two for the price of one".
If memory serves me right, I believe Dave Myatt said somewhere that it won't be a Han or Luke, or any figure in current 1/4 format. Take what you will from it, but here is a little interesting tidbit: (sixth question from the bottom)

Whew! barely got my order in with minutes to spare. It took me 27 minutes of trying to get in.
I was kinda of worried about pre-ordering today due to alot of people having the day off, and it falling on a Monday, but it all worked out.
I'm hoping/looking forward to a slight slow down, with just one more Jedi or Hero, and the SDCC exclusive.

Gentle Giant has updated their site, and listed this years con exclusives here.
As many people have predicted SDCC's Exclusive mini bust will be a Shocktrooper!
I hope this has at least a 5,000 edition run, if not I sense the Blue Clonetrooper bust fiasco all over again.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: 2006 TRU Clone Wars Gunship
« on: January 25, 2006, 04:37 PM »In the RS picture you can clearly see the phrase "Figures not included" on the box. Since that is the case, I'll pass on this one.
But those aren't typical clones (except the blue and red ARCs). The one in front has what looks like a repainted AT-RT helmet and a gattling gun. I don't think Hasbro would create that fig just for a picture on a box. Could he be a new fig? Wasn't there rumors awhile back of a Heavy Clone Gunner?
The Red ARC is SA while the Blue right next to him looks to be the standard CW ARC. The other two in the back it's hard to tell. The Clone with the mini gun looks to be SA, and a new sculpt. I think there is a good chance we may see this Clone down the line somewhere.
I agree, why would Hasbro create this Clone just for some box art? They must have the mold ready for a possible release.

To take a word from Hasbro AWESOME! I love the recent box art for the Gunships. Will definately be picking up two, one to keep boxed, and one to open of course.
It looks like it might come with some Clone pack-in's! Love the Specialist Clone with the mini gun.
I'm kinda glad this is TRU Exclusive. I've been pretty fortunate to find the recent TRU Exclusives,and that's saying something because I usually don't find squat.
