Looks cool, however it being an overseas exclusive it'll be pricey for those of us who want it.
-
Overseas Overpriced Oreo Exclusives? Hasbro isn't doing enough for me to stop collecting. ::)
-
Great...more "shadow" troopers...
You know, Hasbro should apply the "shadow" concept with other types of troopers, only in reverse. For instance, instead of "shadow" Death Star Troopers (which wouldn't work 'cuz they're already black), Hasbro should make "sunshine" Death Star Troopers: DST's painted white. This idea would work with Death Star Gunners, TIE-Pilots, etc. And believe me, they would sell.....
-
Well, I for one would like to get this set.
I hope it's available after the con at retail. Exclusive or not, so long as it comes to the states.
-
I think i would like to get one but i am not willing to pay a high price for it.
-
This will be an easy pass for me.
-
I can't help but think that Star Wars Shop will be carrying this item after the convention.
I'm in for two or three depending on the price. If they are $10 then definitely I'll order three. Anything more than that, and my limit is 2.
I knew it was only a matter of time before they made a Clone Commander in the Shadow Trooper scheme.
-
Wow! :o That's a whole lotta suck!

I like that idea, and I would buy many of them ::). What will Hasblow not do, I wonder?

I'd pick up a set if I could get a hold of one inexpensively.
-
I could take it or leave it. Won't be bummed if it never comes our way.
-
I don't need, it but I would maybe get one if it came here. They look pretty cool, as much as I hate that shadow concept.
-
Pass.
-
The millions and millions of clone variants crapped out by hasbro, half of which are garbage.
-
Wow, a boring figure that'll be packed with a figure that's being re-packed here later this year. ::)
-
PASS.
-
LOL, wait Chewie, is that going to be a pass for you? It'll be nice to have a set, but I won't worry too much if I don't. May be it'll be available at retail after the con, and it'll be only $10 like the Order 66 2-packs. The $10 price tag is probably wishful thinking though.
-
I heard someone suggest it could be a SWshop exclusive. Seems logical if this came to be.
-
Give credit to Lucas for being a merchandising genius. He made his fortune by securing the merchandising to Star Wars ages ago and the legacy continues on with all the cloneskittleshadowranktroopers coming out now. ::)
-
I actually like it but won't buy it. I would just rather spend SW money on something else is all.
-

From a practical point of view, these figures are pretty silly. Red highlights on armour for soldiers' that are supposed to be working in the cover of night? At least, to me that would be the point of calling these clones Shadow Troopers. Bright highlights don't really make a lot of sense.
But from an asthetic point of view, I kinda like them, dammit. The red just looks neat to contrast against the black and grey.
I won't pay a high premium for them, but I would be interested in tracking them down at some point.
-
I'd pay $15 for the set. Same price as two figs anyway. And we'll be getting the regular shadow clone with the last Legends line anyway, so that price makes sense.
-
Solid black wouldve been WAY better than this awful coloring. I don't think Troopers should be multiple colors, just doest look right..especially when they start looking like Industrial and Construction signs.
-
I hope this is a starwarsshop aftercon exlusive. I kind of like them. I don't know I am still not cloned out. Some thing must be wrong with me.
-
LOL, wait Chewie, is that going to be a pass for you?
You bet. There's just only so much display space that I have, and because of that, I don't really get into gimmicks like this... plus, I really don't like the design or even the concept. Especially seeing one in the kama - that's just getting out of hand.
-
This is as easy to pass on as the Target Kashyyk walkers BP. This should do as well as the Shadow Scout which is still rotting on SWS as we speak. I am honestly happy to walk away from items now. I really use to take anything given but no more. I am done with goofy clones. I just want core ones seen in film or at the very least closer to realistic movie appeal like the Hoth Speeder Bikes.
Leave the Shadows in the dark and put a bullet in this concept. It's over already.......
-
Finally, some 'Shadow' troops! I've been waiting for this to come true for what seems like an eternity.
Put me down for 1,000 of those 2-packs.
-
I have a hard time believing this will be only $10 if it is ever released in the US. The Shadow Stormtrooper from Star Wars Shop was like 13 dollars, and the concept Greivous was 16. This set, IF released here in the states, will probably be $20 easy.
-
Or $32 (applying SWS logic).
-
Ugly as sin. And I'm with Vorax and Jesse08: solid black is one thing, but what's the point of throwing white and red hash marks all over them? It's not "covert" and it's not intimidating.
-
For those interested in this set, it sounds like StarWarsShop.com will be offering a limited quantity to the US starting this week (maybe even as soon as tomorrow).
I know most folks consider them "sucky repaints" for the most part, but I'm sure someone out there is interested... ;)
-
I'm gonna try for one. I'm always dubious of the "Limited" remarks, but since I'm saying, it probably will be.
-
I may get one set. Though I wish SWS had better prices and a better selection. I hate buying from them because their shipping is so damn high, plus I can never find anything else I want to buy to cut down on shipping costs. It's goign to be real hard to justify a $7 shipping charge on top of what will probably be a $16-20 item for what amounts to an extra paulron and kama done in black and red colors.
-
I'll try to get one.
-
I'm going to try to grab at least two - one to keep MIB and another to open. Ideally I'd like to get three, but I'm going to assume that they'll be limiting folks to 1 or 2 each.
-
Any guesses on the SWS.com retail?
I'll say $19.99.
-
$18.99 - limit 2
-
24.99 - no limit
-
24.99 - no limit
$24.99 with limit of 2. We want your money, but want to rob everyone equally.
-
I think they'll keep it around $19.99 and limit you to two.
-
It's up $16.99 ships in April.
-
Thanks for the heads-up, i ordered mine.
-
Just ordered mine another board member's. Thanks for the heads up.
-

Add in tax and $7 shipping, you get some real crap for $27. Such a deal! :-X
-
Just ordered mine. Picked up three sets. Two to open, one to add to my MIB Order-66 collection. :-\
-
I was going to pass on this. However a fellow collector mentioned the Shadow Scout/Speederbike set being only $9.99. So I ordered these. It made it more tolerable to buy the 2-pack since I'm saving money on the speederbike set. I wouldn't have bought the 2-pack otherwise, as it just amounts to a newly painted paulron and kama on a rehashed trooper (albeit the first time this particular mold got this paint scheme).
Is anyone else tired of overpriced exclusives of rehashed toys?

Not me! I love spending my money on toys I already own with all new ridiculous paint schemes. Maybe it has something to do with that Crayola experiment that went horribly wrong when I was a kid. ::)
-

I am to a point. However, I prefer having old sculpts with new paint ops as convention exclusives as opposed to completely new sculpts that everyone will want and therefore making the convention exclusive impossible to get.

Yet, sadly it's the same amount it cost to get two Shadowtroopers at retail when they first came out.
-
I guess that is why we are customizers. It looks like a fairly easy set to bootleg.
-
My order is showing as "IN STOCK" but nothing has shipped yet...
-
I got my set in the mail yesterday. So they should start showing up to everybody pretty soon.
-
Just got mine. Did anybody else notice the Commander has two grey Biker Scout pistols and not the usual little Clone blasters? Those things really don't fit into the holsters without using some force. I have to hand it to them, they did a great job with the battle damage and I love the bright red visors. Their bodies aren't just black, they're like really super-dark blue with some dark paint over them. It's an added, unnecessary step but at least you can see a little extra deco was put into them. (Still not a great price, but at least it wasn't more...)
(And the box copy... "posing as bounty hunters"? Bugwha?)
-
I was going to point that out as well about the biker scout guns. Over all, it seems they cheeped out on the plastic for this set, but I still like it.
-
Got my order yesterday.
Nice enough set. Wouldn't mind it if Hasbro kept using this tube packaging for exclusives, I ordered five of them (four to open) and they all arrived in mint condition which is RARE for a SWS order. So in terms of durability, the tube packaging is great.
I wish they had just used the regular Clone Commander sculpt for the Shadow Trooper Commander figure - the chin of the Jango head is even more prominent when the armor is black, so for the one set I've opened and put on dispay, the Commander is holding his helmet. Oh well.
Otherwise, I think it's a great set. I can totally get behind exclusives like this, 100% repaint so if I get it great, if not, I'm not going to worry about it. I do like that Hasbro and StarWarsShop or HasbroToyShop have been making a better effort to make these convention exclusives available online.
-
I ordered five of them
Hasbro loves you.
-
Hasbro loves you.
Honestly, I'd appreciate some more "love" if they truly love me. I have yet to see the final five Saga Legends figures in the wild.
I can't seem to even happen upon a MOC Battle Damaged Darth Vader or Rahm Kota.
I would have preferred the Clone Wars cartoon figures be done in a "realistic" style to maintain overall 3.75" line cohesion.
So while they may love the fact that I get four of each trooper/droid/army builder, they kick me in the nuts every other chance they can get. :-\
-
I got my set in today, now i just need to get a carded Shadow trooper with the shadow EU coin.
-

I hear ya on that. I've not seen the last wave at all. And at the rate figures are not selling (especially Legends), I'm not likely to see them either.
-
I was lucky enough to stumble upon a Shadow Trooper and Shadow Stormie. The Shadow coin is actually pretty cool but once you set in in your album it's very easy to lose as it's surrounded by black.
TRU and WM are flooded with Legends Target is the only store that seemed to move them. Most Target's in Chicago charge $5.89 for Legends, that could be what's helping sales.
-
Just a quick post to say that this set is on sale for $9.99 (http://shop.starwars.com/catalog/product.xml?product_sku=SWHBJCEF) this week at StarWarsShop.
It's part of the "weekly 6" sale, so the price runs through next Wednesday night...
-
I wish some day Hasbro make a 10.00 dolars pack shadow stormie TFU (gray, silver) and black stormie (blackhole) both troopers with removable helmet.
-
I could use that pack. Good idea.
-
It'd be more like 13 bucks at retail, and would only be available on eBay for $25 plus shipping.
That would be an exceedingly popular set.
