The bootleg clones were not made by Hasbro, but an unauthorized manufacturer.  They were in fixed poses (non-articulated) and released in packs of 10 figures:5 marching and 5 aiming.

Aside from the fact that the sculpts are a bit off, I like these better than the three packs. Funny how they were designed with removable helmets, makes you think ROTS ones could be on the way.

I was just wondering about that.  I think that would be great and I would definitely try to pick up a set or 2.
Who made these?  I found mine on eBay and through some online stores, but don't really know anything about them.  I read that article on JediTempleArchives, which was very interesting, but it didn't really say where these figures came from.

I've got these crazy figures I got from "Star Tours" in Disney world in like 1994.  A chewie, vader, and two Stormtroopers

they are rubbery and can't move at all, they just stand up with their hands down.  The chewie is an off light brown, and the stromtroopes have gray paint on the top of their helmets from the eyes up.

The have an LFL copyright for 1990 too. I've NEVER seen them other than the ones I have

I'm pretty sure those are Bendums...I think they made SW Bendums begining in the mid 1980s-1994.

My friend went to Disney World around that time and picked me up the Stormtrooper and Vader.  They're not Bend 'Ems, they're like crappy statues.  The sculpts are pretty weird too (a little too cartoony), but they're not that bad.

Yeah, those Star Tours "figures" are not bootlegs, but are equally as crappy.

As far as the bootlegs clones go, some guy I bought stuff of on eBay a few years ago threw a couple in for free...so for free they were a good deal  :)
