I'm hopeful that Disney is collaborating with Hasbro and showing them material from The Book of Boba Fett and that by Christmas we may have some figures from that series.

They managed to get Falcon and the Winter Soldier figures out along with that series, hopefully they can do the same with Book of Boba.

Only difference is that the Marvel Legends team at Hasbro seems passionate about the brand and at least know enough to come across believably as fans of the brand.

For Star Wars we're stuck with Marketing Turd Patrick.  >:(

Patrick always has a display shelf filled only with the latest product in a room that has no other decorations save for the small bookcase and his desk and as soon as the stream is over, he burns the Star Wars products with the leaves in his back yard.

Was at my local Target last night (Tuesday night) and was able to score an Anakin.

The employee who helped me told me that Echo and Hawk would be arriving today (Wednesday) and recommended that I stop by at lunch time since the truck would not be emptied until mid-day.

I get to my store, their hand-held scanners indicated that they did indeed get the cases, apparently posts were made to a SubReddit (not sure what the name is) saying that they had them at my store and now the store shows as having 0 on hand.

So either someone at the employee level has taken them and hidden them; or between 8AM and 1PM, they sold three 12 each of Hawk and Echo.

I loathe Target exclusives...

Got mine yesterday - lots of paint deco on this one - I was pleasantly surprised by how extensive the rainbow design is on the figure

I like this one, like what it represents. My "supplier" was able to grab a couple for me today while he was at Hollywood Studios. I'll be there at the end of July, and I suppose there's a chance they might still be there then, but I didn't want to risk it...

Does anyone know if they are doing a separate "theme" sub-line for Jedi Fallen Order - are all all of the video game based figures going to be in a "Gaming Greats" themed Phase 4 packaging theme?

This has been going in and out of stock, so just keep refreshing

have essentially tanked my work day refreshing the darn Target website - no such luck I'm afraid...  >:(

If I recall, whatever extras/duplicates I had, I traded for what I needed and what I was missing, I bought for less than $20 each...

Unfortunately, considering that the cost of Vader on the aftermarket has risen to INSANE levels, that won't happen this time around, scalpers will be wanting current Vader levels for Fett right out of the gate.

Totally missed this. Never showed as instock/available to order for me. Not pleased. Hopefully when the release date comes around it will be available to order.

I said it in another thread, but in the last 2 years, I've had more troubles with EE on lost shipments, items shipped that were clearly non-mint before they shipped them, unprocessed refunds, and more than I have in the 20+ years before that.  I know COVID was to blame for some of the really slow shipments last Summer, but not the other things.

Same on the shipment of stuff that was clearly non-mint before it went into the box or went into the box with inadequate packaging/padding.

The customer service reps you speak with just don't seem to care, their attitude is "we can refund or ship you a new one" - at one point I said "you know, you could actually be SAVING costs if you just ensured that customers who you know are going to be taking advantage of the "mint condition guarantee", are shipped mint items that are well packaged.

It was like I asked them to cure cancer, build a perpetual motion machine and discover cold fusion.

EE has confirmed that my order was lost somewhere between the EE warehouse and the first FedEx stop.  I hope the package thief who nabbed it is enjoying his 2x Hallway playsets. ::)

Since it's now OOS at EE (not coming back until April/May), I asked them to just refund my account and I'll try to nab these somewhere else.

Update:  bought one set at Amazon and got it on Sunday.  Now I just have to babysit patiently wait for EE to process my refund.  ::)

OMG - Jeff! This EXACT same thing happened to me. I had bought four of them from Amazon and I kept the fifth one I ordered from EE because of their Mint-Condition Guarantee. Thankfully one of the four I got from Amazon was in MIB shape, I just kept that one in package and was awaiting my EE order to finish the four-walled hallway.

Anyway, I spoke with EE on Friday asking what was going on with THREE of my orders - the hallway being the worst offender as it supposedly shipped on January 19th and *STILL* hadn't arrived.

They told me the same thing they told you - that my package was lost and that they would have to file a claim and send me a new one. I agreed to that at first and then the woman said "we expect to get more in May" - and I was shocked at how casual they were over the fact that I had been charged for something, that is questionable as to whether or not it even shipped and now they were going to make me wait three months for a replacement to ship.

I told her to give me a refund instead and while I was waiting for her to process it - I ordered one more off Amazon, it arrived Sunday and now my hallway is complete.

I am actually worried about my two Black Series cases that shipped on Feb 1st and Feb 6th respectively - neither has had ANY shipping update and if they tell me that the same thing has happened with those, I honestly don't know what I'm going to do.

I thought maybe BBTS was a suitable alternative and I'm *STILL* waiting for my third wave of Black Series 40th Anniversary ESB figures - I keep worrying that they are just going to cancel my order on me with the explanation that the "vendor will not be shipping them any more".

I have been a customer of EE since the 90s and in my opinion they have REALLY gone down hill in the last two years. Does anyone know if Jason & Aaron sold the company and got out of the business or something? Cause back when they started EE - the company really gave a damn, now they just don't seem to give a ****.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Recent Vintage Collection Purchases
« on: February 15, 2021, 01:02 AM »
Just look at the most recent reissue wave:  Outland peasant disguise Anakin, Queen Amidala (post Senate), TIE Pilot and Battle Droid.  The TIE Pilot and Battle Droid have an evergreen quality since they're troop builders.  But the other two?  Poor choices, IMHO.  I am hoping that Hasbro opens up their options for these reissue waves by considering reissues from earlier lines that have TVC levels of articulation.  Slotting in the 3.75" Black Series Anakin Skywalker and Padme Amidala would achieve a few goals - get those particular characters back in circulation, update their deco, and put them on a TVC card for the first time, but at the lower cost of offering a reissue.

I agree 100% - the choices are questionable at best.

However, if recent "revelations" are to be believed (where the actual reason why Darth Revan never made it into TVC was because the Hasbro Star Wars team simply "forgot" that he was supposed to be released) - I wouldn't be surprised if to them, thinking "hey we need to get Anakin and Padme back into circulation" and when picking the figure (and corresponding molds) they just have ZERO clue as to which figure is which and what they might have intended to do, was put in TVC cardbacks the Anakin and Padme figures from the first wave of 3.75" Black Series - but when they communicated that to the factory, it was translated to Peasant Anakin and Queen Amidala re-releases from the original TVC run, and by the time they realized the error, the factory in China had already pumped out the production runs.

Those fan service live-streams with Patrick are doing them ZERO service in terms of building good-will with the fan base. It's clear that no one on the team is passionate about Star Wars, has a deep understanding of the Star Wars franchise & its history, and have no interest in really keeping tabs on how the fanbase is receiving the line across the boards.

The Vintage Collection / Re: Walmart TVC "Original 96" Exclusives
« on: February 9, 2021, 06:19 PM »
It just seems odd that they sent the never getting anymore email, sent gift cards, and then just a week later put it back online and fulfilled orders.  It seems to be a total communications cluster.

These containers had to be in the US within the past couple of weeks, within the window of sending these emails.

It's like they could not order more from Hasbro because all the molds were destroyed or something!

It is EXTREMELY odd re: the timing of the emails saying "we will never get anymore" suddenly becoming "oh hey, remember that product we said we'd absolutely NEVER get any more of? we have it, in stock, and uh, can you please buy some?"

It's 6:18PM on Feb 9th and the figure is STILL in stock and available for purchase now.

The one thing I hope more than anything else right now is that there will be MANY, MANY, MANY scalpers out there who have double-digits of these things - that they acquired for a few dollars over retail and were hoping to turn in to a $40 sale, they now CHOKE on them.

Submitted four orders of 2x each over this past weekend in the anticipation that WalMart would likely cancel some "just because". Anyway, all four orders have shipped and the first two arrived this afternoon - no padding inside the box, but at least the figures were put into a box (instead of a packing envelope)

Glad I'll be able to put together a squad of 8 of these guys after all...

Scored (finally) my MIB versions of the Mandalorian Loyalist, Mandalorian Super Commando, and an opener of Ahsoka's 332nd Clone Trooper - all thanks to WalMart putting them back up for sale. They arrived in a shipping box, so unlike my first shipment that were each individually bagged, these all came through in great shape.

I opened up the three banged-up/crushed ones as well today - wasn't originally intending on having these opened, but the two Mandos will look nice in an ever-growing collection of 6" Mandalorian armored warriors. The Loyalist can technically count as a Mandalorian figure (even though it's packaged as part of the Clone Wars sub-line) thanks to that Clone Wars era flashback during the 1st Season of The Mandalorian.
