Yes, Faie...  Sorry.  Who the hell's Keller then?  He's the similar one from the comic pack?

Keller came in the WM exclusive comic pack with the Galactic Marine.  Sounds like a cool custom - got any pictures?  Probably moot as I have not seen the 2-packs at any of the WM's around Minneapolis.   :P

Blu-ray at WM is $20.

Thanks - I'm not upgraded to Blu-ray yet.   :(

Is District 9 worthy of a blind purchase?

I've heard nothing but good things about it.  I was thinking of picking this up too - did you find a good deal on it?

There is no way they win a playoff game.  It is also a joke they gave that piece of **** a contract extension.  I'd be much more optimistic being in your shoes, Jman, than mine and my team is 11-3 ::)

Well, you never know.  I'm not counting anyone down for the count this season - it's been ridiculously unpredictable.  I would definitely like to see the Packers meet up with the Vikes for a playoff game this year though just to see if they could pull it off.  To be fair though, I don't think we're going to see anyone from the NFC North holding the Lombardi trophy this year.

Good game Jay - not sure why we had a game this week, but fun to play one more regardless.

Too bad I couldn't get past Springer last week - I'd be on my way to the big game.    :P

...and I wish I could say the same about the Vikings game.  Wow, what a waste of a Sunday night watching that crapfest.  At least Peterson did well for my fantasy team.  Purple better get their act together if they want to go anywhere in the playoffs.

Steelers Packers today was probably the game of the year.  Huge plays, weird crap, back and forth.  That last play was Super Bowl all over again.  Congrats to my favorite team for repeating as NFC North champs >:D

Good game, bad outcome.  Stinks to see the Pack surge ahead with a minute left, only to have the Steelers come back and win it.  I wonder how it would have ended if Pittsburgh had not on-side kicked?  It helped the Pack get their final TD, but maybe they would have had a longer TD drive and won with a regular punt.  Definitely a weird game and an amazing catch by Wallace at the end.

I haven't seen this in a long time, but we're doing a gift exchange with the wife's extended family, so I picked up ACS and Gran Torino on DVD for him.  I'll have to try to catch the movie sometime over the break - it's still one of my holiday favorites.

Out of curiousity, what do you do with a masters in military history outside of teaching military history to others?   Based on your comments, I assume you're using it for a teaching position, but just wondering if there are other applications.  Good luck going back - I don't know if I could go back to school after all this time.  Hopefully having courses online will be an easier transition.

My Maris holds her sabers just fine.   ???

I'm with Nick - I'll take something new (EU, background characters, whatever) over crap like the Han in Stormtrooper vest or the 30th version of Jedi Luke any day of the week (yes I bought two of the latest one, so sue me).  I know there is demand for core characters and am not arguing that, but there is ALSO demand for new stuff among a lot of collectors.  And frankly, if there are no more movies coming, then EU and Clone Wars are the best opportunity to keep the SW line alive because they tie into more current media.

I think Hulk was moving back in that direction with Planet Hulk, but seems like World War Hulk and the whole Red Hulk shenanigans haven't paid off for Bruce & company.  Next year's big plunge is the "Fall of the Hulks" storyline, so maybe that will bring him back to the forefront.

I think Brian hit it spot on - if you were a big Marvel follower, Iron Man was a pretty major character.  Founder of the Avengers, Avengers West, Force Works, Director of SHIELD, helped rebuild the New Avengers...that's pretty big stuff.  If you look at varioius toylines like Legends, Galactic Heroes, little playschool stuff, Iron Man was always in the mix as well, but I'd agree that the general public still didn't have a clue about him.

Thanks for the spare JL case tonight Jay - the circle is now complete!  Okay, it's a rectangle, but that didn't sound as cool.
