I can't imagine how tiny a 3.75" version will/would be though.

I'd guess they would have to make it permanently sculpted into the hover-crib as an accessory... or use an old Micro Machines Yoda.

I finally got around to opening this little bugger the other day.  Very cute and well sculpted.

I don't have a problem with his micro-size, but do have a problem with his articulation and accessories.  He can't really move his arms or hold his accessories, and dang is that ball tiny.

Maybe instead they should have provided swappable arms with the ball molded in to his hand, or different accessories like the Biker Scout pouch or the hover crib.

I could see the Child and hover crib going for more like $20 as part of the regular line.  Given his popularity, we were lucky to get this at $10.

Been seeing that there is a variant of The Child hitting retail stores, with the collar and cuffs of its robe having a different paint job (slightly lighter beige). Guess I have to track this one down.

Saw this too...right after I found some hanging on the pegs at Target and didn't know to check.   >:(

Thanks for the tip on this! I had passed him by a few times not realizing there was a difference so I had to scramble a little to track one down but I got him this morning, and this is a cool, legit variant. Looks better than the original for sure.

I just grabbed one today. I'm just assuming my older one is the other variant

This is the water, and this is the well. Drink full, and descend. The horse is the white of the eyes, and dark within

Very noticeable difference. Almost looks like they just forgot to add paint apps to the first release.

I've seen both versions in the wild over the last week. Local grocery chain is selling Black Series figures now, and they had Dooku and Bly along with a bunch of original Child figures. Then today at Walmart I found the newer variant with the painted robe. So I'm not sure if both are shipping or if my local grocery chain has been sitting on these for a while.

I noticed a picture from a local group recent WM pick up that looked like the non painted version. So I guess make sure before you buy

I'm eager to see this newer version.  Has anyone seen any comparison photos on IG?

Here are some snaps I took the other day. Left is the original, right is the new variant.

That’s a pretty distinct difference!  I’m going to have to see if I can find the variation now.
