I saw these this morning, but wish I hadn't .  Just when I had pretty much gotten MOTU out of my head (I had a He-Man, Scott helped me with a Roboto), they had to show more figures.  If they decide to release these state-side somehow, I'm going to be awfully tempted.  I wish the show/toys would have been more of a success here in the US, to be able to keep the line going.  I'm with you Scott, I wouldn't mind having a Stinkor...he was my favorite baddy as a kid, and my vintage one still has a smell to him .  I remember him stinking up the whole toy box (or Snake Mountain) when I was little.  Good times.

Nice scoop Scott.  It is nice to get a look at what the packaging is going to look like.  To me, its ok.  Its kind of neat, but nothing to get me super psyched up about either.  I think maybe part of that is the fact that we are just now seeing these beautiful OTC/VOTC cardbacks, and other designs kind of pale in comparison.  If we were just coming out of the Saga cardbacks, this would probably be a more welcome change to many.  That said, the lava, and Vader helmet/scowl do look pretty cool, and I do like the look for what it is.  It is a good "generic, helmet and colored background" cardback, but like I said, just doesn't look as pretty as the OTC stuff.

Has anyone here picked up the comic book sets?  I haven't seen them in stores (not sure where they are even showing up, I thought I had heard Target?).  I haven't ever really got into the modern Joes (with the exception of a couple of Snake Eyes figures), but I thought I heard these comic packs are more like the RAH line from the good ole days.  Maybe I mis-read though.  I suppose if I was going to collect Joes, I'd just as well go back to the vintage ones (82-86 especially).  Those were the best  

Should be an interesting year here in Husker land, as we move from the power running game over to a West Coast Offense.  Hard to judge how good it will be, hopefully the fans here will give it some time...we might struggle a little bit at first.  Schedule isn't terrible though, and a 9-3 season isn't out of the question.  Maybe better.  We'll see how it all comes together, but there's quite a bit of excitement here in Lincoln with all the changes.  I've been wanting to pick up NCAA 2005 as well, I hear it is pretty good.  I haven't bought that game for a couple of years now, but used to be able to play it for hours on end back in the PS1 days.  Good luck to everyone's teams in the upcoming seasons...not too far off now.  Go Big Red

K-Mart always seems to be odd around here too.  Since we have now moved, there isn't one in town at all, so I don't know if I will be able to find this set or not...but the one we used to visit every so often was very hit and miss.  Like was mentioned above, sometimes they'd have stuff early...before anyone else.  I found the 300th Fett (several of them) way before they appeared anywhere else, and I also picked up the Jedi Starfighter early before Episode II as well.  Other than that, I think I have maybe bought 1-2 figures there otherwise, because they've always had really old stock, that stays forever.

Even Han looks good, but do I really need that figure AGAIN?

I know what you mean Brent.  Actually, when I located the Dagobah wave, I ended up picking up a Han, even though I have several of them already.  I usually try to get an extra Han of each release though, to keep carded, just for the heck of it.  I have been tempted to pick up more of these though, just because of the beautiful cardbacks, but I can't justify the cost either.  I've really been trying to convince my wife that I need two sets of the VOTC, but I don't think she's buying....yet

While on the subject of Marvel figures, I was curious which figure you guys would pick as your favorite (or favorites) overall from any line (Legends, Spidey/Hulk/X-Men Classics, movie lines, etc.).  Is there any one figure (or a few) that really stand out to you?

For me, my favorite of all my Marvel figures would probably be my Parachute Spider-Man.  After the helpful suggestions of many of you here, I picked this one up for my "comic" Spider-Man...and since he's my favorite character, it is also my favorite figure.  I also really like the "super poseable" movie one, for a movie version of Spidey.  Others that I really like include:

18" Movie Spidey (great figure, and my wife picked it out herself for me, so its special that way to me as well)
Spidey 2 Magnetic (another fun figure, hanging out on the fridge now)
Marvel Legends Beast (Beast and Iceman were my favorite X-characters, and this figure is really nice.  Another gift from the wifey a year or so ago too)

I haven't picked up a whole lot else outside of Spider-Man and X-Men things, but I'm hoping to get some more in the future.  What are some of your favorites...or your top pick (if you have one)?
