You know what's funny is there was no one at the booth last year.  Who knew these would be so hot.

Jamie and I couldn't even find their booth.  I heard no mention of Yoda at C3 and now BOOM, these things are huge.  It's crazy.  Sidious is gonna be a pain to get and I'm sure Anakin will be sold out very quickly after the Con.

I was just reading about this myself. I wonder how it will go down at CC. They'll probably sell out in the first night if they don't allocate per day. This might be a booth that has to be hit first going in on preview night.

The ACME rep who posts on Scum said they'd have SOME available each day. But ACME's booth is my first stop on preview night.

Now that I have the GG busts preordered ACME is going to be my first stop too.  If they allocate per day that only leave 90 to sell per day  :o.

Yeah, it could get ugly to say the least.

Well, the Sidious key sold out in less than 1 minute.  After reading the thread on Scum about this key, it appears that everyone actually had it in their cart only to lose it at the credit card info screen.  People are furious.  This is right up there with the Blackhole Stormie bust.

Well I couldn't find a thread on these, so forgive me if there is one (the search didn't produce one.)  Who all collects these?  I myself have Padme, Mace, ARC Trooper and Obi-Wan (my most recent purchase.)

ACME will have the Anakin Skywalker and Darth Sidious keys available at Comic Con.

Anakin is limited to a thousand pieces and you can purchase a max of 3 at Comic Con.  He'll be available on www.acmearchivesdirect.com after Comic Con as well.

Darth Sidious, on the other hand, is limited to 500 pieces and will be 1 per attendee at the Con.  50 will go onsale on ACME's website tomorrow at 10am for those not attending.  I see this piece reaching the $200 plateau as soon as Comic Con is over.  It's the most limited key thus far.

I believe Preview Night goes til 9pm.

TPM definitely could have been better, far better in fact.  AOTC had it's moments of SW greatness but still didn't quite reach it.  ROTS was the pinnacle of the PT though.  Awesome movie.  I just wish they would have delved more into Anakin's character since the whole SW saga is essentially about him.

A bounty hunter line would be interesting, but perhaps not enough for its own subdivision.

I have to agree.  I think we'll see bounty hunters in this line.

Just got the email 10 minutes ago and was able to order the Vader and Shock Trooper.  My buddy got the email at noon.  Surprised it took so long for me to get it.

I was talking about this with DS the other day.  From past recollection, I remember being as much as 8 hours behind other people with the emails :o  It never mattered previously because it was always announcing a link and a time, not going live immediately.  Glad you got in to J.

Yeah me too.  I called Jamie to let him know as well so hopefully he got in on it.  I'm stoked to not have to worry about anything at CC now except the ACME character keys.

Darth Revan!  Awesome.  I had told Matt and the boys at one of our So Cal meets that Hasbro needed to a do a KOTOR line, similar to the Expanded Universe line from a few years ago.

That's why you never do pre-orders through ebay.  Too easy to get taken, especially by an overseas seller.

Looks like the chances of GG doing the preorder on the SDCC exclusives is getting slimmer and slimmer. 11 more days till CC and still nothing.

We will be taking Pre-Orders through http://www.gentlegiantltd.com/ for the following San Diego Comic-Con 2006 Exclusives:

Deluxe Shocktrooper mini bust with Shocktrooper Bust-Up - pre-order quantity - 1500 pieces
Darth Vader Fire Bust-Up - pre-order quantity - 2000 pieces
Lucius Malfoy as Death Eater mini bust - pre-order quantity - 200 pieces

*PLEASE NOTE*
The following measures are in effect in an effort to make these items widely available as possible:
*Limit one pre-order per person.
*Limit one of each item per pre-order.
*Must bring printout of Confirmation email and a valid ID to convention center to pick up order.
*Pre-Orders can only be picked up at the Gentle Giant Booth (3513) after 2pm on each day of the show, starting Thursday, July 20th.
*No pre-orders will be allowed to be picked on preview night, July 19th.
*If you already pre-ordered the exclusives, you may not get a second of any of the exclusive items, as all badges will be punched when pre-order is picked up.

Only a portion of the total edition size will be available for pre-orders. We will be selling the balance of the convention exclusives at our booth (3513) on a first come, first serve basis. Limit one of each item, per person.

An email will be sent out next week to members of our collector's club with the links for the pre-orders. If after a certain predetermined time any quantity remains we will post pre-order links on our blog. We will be taking pre-orders only next week. Any remaining quantity not sold through pre-orders will be brought to the convention for regular purchases.

I hope I actually get the email notification this time (Ray hooked me up last time) cause if I'm able to order the Shock Trooper and Vader, then my trip will be pretty headache free.  All I'll have to worry about then is getting the ACME keys.

By now, you've most likely heard that Master Replicas has added a new exclusive for the 2006 San Diego Comic Con - the Darth Maul Double Bladed Force FX Lightsaber Signature Edition, signed by Darth Maul himself, Ray Park. Ray cannot attend Comic Con, but, well, let's let him tell you in his own words:

"Due to a work commitment, I will not be able to attend this year's San Diego Comic-Con. Even though I will not be at the in person, the good people at Master Replicas have provided a way for me to be there in spirit - with this very limited Signature Edition Darth Maul Double Bladed FX Lightsaber. I have always enjoyed working with Master Replicas and the new Darth Maul FX Lightsaber is brilliant. I am honoured to be involved in the creation of their first ever Signature Edition FX Lightsaber and I hope you will enjoy adding it to your collection."

-Ray Park

The Darth Maul Double Bladed Force FX Lightsaber Signature Edition is strictly limited to 500 pieces worldwide, and will be sold on a first-come/first-serve basis at Comic Con. For $300, you will receive the Darth Maul Double Bladed Force FX Lightsaber, the Limited Edition plaque signed by the one-and-only Ray Park, and a certificate of authenticity from Master Replicas! But fear not, Collectors Society members.for those of you unable to attend the show (or for those of you who do not want to risk missing out on this very rare exclusive), we will make a predetermined allotment of the Darth Maul Double Bladed Force FX Lightsaber Signature Editions available to you through the Collectors Society beginning at 9 am PST on Tuesday, July 11th.

The exclusive will remain on sale until Thursday, July 13th or until the predetermined allotment has been sold out!
