Snape will kill Lucius.

Ron will say "Bloody Hell".

30th Anniversary Collection / Re: 2007 Saga Legends
« on: January 16, 2007, 05:33 PM »
I see the first wave is up for pre-order at EE... no pictures yet, but they do have a case assortment.

1x Darth Vader
1x C-3P0
1x Darth Maul
1x Battle Droid 2-Pack
1x Yoda
1x R2-D2
1x General Grievous
1x Shock Trooper
2x Clone Trooper (Episode II)
2x Clone Trooper (Episode III)

So... why would you put the basic White ROTS #41 Clone Trooper at 2x per case, but the higher-demand Shocktrooper at 1x per case?   Because it costs a bit more to add the Red Deco to the Shocktrooper?  ::)

Hasbro has informed us that due to their busy schedules as they get ready for Toy Fair 2007 and the launch of the 30th Anniversary collection, they will be reducing the Q&A sessions to an "every other week" schedule.

So, there will be no answers this week.  The answers to the questions that we submitted on 1/12 will instead be available on 1/26.

Saga Collection '06 / Re: Wal*Mart Exclusive Basic Figures #70-74
« on: January 16, 2007, 04:57 PM »
Yeah, a while back 4-inches.de had pictures from one of their German sponsors that had all of Waves 8, 9, and the Wal-Mart wave in stock.  You can see the cards for Aurra and Kabe/Nabrun in the pic they had:

I also read from that same sponsor that this is how the Wal-Mart exclusive figures will be shipped to Wal-Mart, in these little endcap boxes with the following case assortment...

Basic Figure Assortment
1x Saga-010 R2-D2
2x Saga-038 Bespin Vader
1x Saga-044 Luke Endor
1x Saga-047 Ep1 Obi-Wan
1x Saga-054 Chewbacca Cloud City
1x Saga-061 Super Battle Droid
1x Saga-070 Kitik
1x Saga-071 Nabrun Leids & Kabe
1x Saga-072 Labria
1x Saga-073 Aurra Sing
1x Saga-074 R4-M6

Or, at least that is what is in those boxes pictured above.  Another great decision by Hasbro to have all the Wal-MArt exclusive figures at one per case.   ::)

I hate Wal-Mart.   >:(

Are the Ilum, Felucia & Saleucami BPs exclusives? If so to what stores?

Yes, all 3 are exclusives.

Ilum = Target (DPCI #087-06-0835)
Felucia = Target (DPCI # 087-06-1070)
Saleucami = Wal-Mart

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Happy Birthday Jeff!

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes!

I took the day off work to celebrate.  The wife and I dropped off the boys at DayCare, then we went to lunch AND saw a movie (Casino Royale).  It was nice to have a little bit of the day to ourselves before picking up the little dudes after the movie.   :)

Hppy belated birthdays to those I missed while I was off having fun this weekend - Matt, Ryan, Robb, and anyone else I missed!  ;)

The Hasbro QnA for JD from 1/5 has been posted...

- Who sculpts all these figures anyway?
- Remember the 1978 Stormtrooper blaster?
- The end of 3.75" Titanium Figures?

9174
We asked about the Titanium 3.75" figures for this week's Q&A, so hopefully that will shed a little light later today...

edit:
And now we've got our answers for today:

Quote
3. What does the future hold for the Titanium Series 3.75" Forged Figure line? It seems like the major retailers are clearing out the figures and ending support for the line, but there are a pile of 10-12 previously announced figures that have yet to be released. Is this line really being cancelled or will it be making a comeback this summer?

**We would love to continue to support the Forged Figure line and we will continue to support the line through Spring of 2007. Unfortunately there was not enough demand for this figure line which has resulted in a lack of retail support for the figures by our retail partners. My advice, buy them now because they will not be around for long.

Sounds like this line is indeed on it's last legs.

Was $2.03 this morning, now $1.99!!!  :o

This is in the Twin Cities.

Shocked me to see the pumps hit $1.999.  I filled up the other day as soon as I saw it below $2 and then I stopped this AM and topped off again in case it goes back up over the weekend now that the cold is here...  :P

Deanpaul was kind enough to forward some pictures and video he shot of the Nikko R2 units at CES!

Go check them out!   :)

Man, if I had a need for a projector, that R2 unit sure would be tempting...  :)

Oh and I thnk non-Clone weaponry would've been cool too since Hasbro's Officer pistol has made it into the EU as "official" even, and who doesn't want more E-11's really?

Well, you're in luck - it looks like the final production set now comes with E-11s and not the Clone blasters.   :)

Too bad they couldn't change Wulff's pants though...  :-\

The Hall call arrives for Gwynn, Ripken

- I know, I know.  It's a big "no duh" moment as it's not a surprise to anyone that they got in on the first try.  Nice to see that they both got about as close as you can get to a unanimous pick (97.5% or higher for both) for the Hall.

- Again, another non-surprise, Big Mac got less than 25%.   :o

- Goose Gossage got 71.2%, maybe next year will be his year.  :-\
