I saw these in some of the SDCC shots, but I had no idea that they planned to sell them!  :o

I wonder how much they will run... $5k?

Whatever Artoo winds up costing, I'll bet you can build your own (or have one made) that will look just as good (if not better) and be much more functional for much, much less. . .

I'd like to purchase both of them but I highly doubt that will be the case.  I'll just have to wait and see what they cost and make my decision on what other high end items I plan on purchasing.

The only people who will be able to afford these is Steve Sansweet and he already has life size versions!  :D

But never at 5K ... Though if you saw Benchwarmers, you know how kewl they look .

You were right Jeff....just under six grand for C-3PO (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?item=2212) and a tad less than that for R2-D2 (http://www.sideshowtoy.com/cgi-bin/category.cgi?item=2215).  I'd love to have them but Jay pointed out to me that I also like my purses, shoes and car.....I guess I'll have to pass ;) :-*.
