Or red saber Palpys.  Hopefully the #56 Obi will be packaged with his starfighter eventually.  I'd pick that up.

I caught it last night and it was pretty good.  I still like the original more, but this one was funny.  I may not care for Depp personally, but he is a great actor.   My wife and I looked at each other at one point and agreed that Depp as Wonka seemed like Depp as Michael Jackson.  He was pale, creepy, weird, had his own amusement park and had a thing for boys.  The comparisons were uncanny.
There are some things that were different from the old vmovie and book.    I don't want to spoil anything so I'll not go into specifics.

I agree on most of your Moray points.  The paint job really isn't too bad in person now that I've seen it, but they should have painted it black or with some Night Force insignia if they were going to give us those figures with it. I am going to try to score some Cobra decals for it because I do want to use it for them due to the lack of good Cobra vehicles around.  I am thinking about buying the Night Ops Humvee and using it for Cobra as well.  I will order that and a Night Watch set when they are both available at Hasbro's site.  I've heard that the Night Watch set will not be at brick and mortar stores, but we won't know until it's released.

Great day for the NHL and the fans.  It's finally over.  A year too late IMO, but at least another season will not be lost.  The high priced talent will be forced to take pay cuts if they want to play.  Most teams are going to look a lot different than they did the last time they played.  The Wild should look pretty much the same because they don't have any high buck players, so I'm happy with that.  I look forward to watching some NHL games this winter.

I ordered a Night Watch set and Comic Pack 76 off of Amazon today.  I'm not sure if I'll be able to find that Night Watch pack in stores.  The Cobra Infantry set was a bear to find.  I imagine this set will be similar.

I'll actaully be golfing for the first time and probably last time this summer on July 20.  My workplace is having a department bonding session that day.  We do one every quarter.  The summer field trip has been to a golf course for the last few years.  We also go bowling, go curling at the St Paul Curling Club and have been to Twins games.  I'll have to head out to a practice range a few times before I go.

« on: July 7, 2005, 10:34 AM »
I just stumbled upon this thread.  I used to go fishing several times a year with my dad.  We'd head to Lake Winnibigoshish in north central MN every May for the Walleye opener with my uncle, a few cousins and family friends.  We drove in 2 huge campers Friday morning and came back Monday afternoon.  Those were some fun times.  My parents would take us to a lake every summer usually in July or August.  We'd normally go to Round Lake just north of Brainerd, but sometimes we'd go elsewhere.  There's nothing better than sitting in a boat on the water with a light breeze and sunny skies.  It's relaxing and well worth it even if the fish don't bite.
I lived in Park Rapids for eight months a few years ago and I would go fishing every day before work.  I never kept that many of the fish I caught.  It was just about the relaxation.  Here's a picture from the last time I went fishing two years ago.

Al Queda and it's ilk are scumbags.  It's unfortunate that they are not a part of one country becuase they would be much easier to deal with.   I pray for the Brits like I prayed for the 9/11 victims.

Let's hope the announcement is soon.  I don't think the NHL will be able to get by with another lost season.  The players and owners need to strike a deal now.  The NBA agreement didn't take long.  Why did the NHL's have to be so hard?  I'd rather be without the NBA and their thugs than the NHL.  I would like to see Bettman go as a part of the deal.  He's made the NHL into the mess it is.

I usually just go with the popcorn and either Sprite or Cherry Coke.  I like to smuggle in M@Ms to dump into the popcorn tub.  The melted chocolate with the salty popcorn make for good eating.
I remember one local theatre used to serve Taco Bell food.  I haven't been by the place in a few years, so I'm not sure if they still do that.  I always thought that was pretty interesting.

Star Wars- The Falcon
non Star Wars- Starfighter from 1980's Buck Rogers in the 25TH Century show.  I used to play with that ship all the time.

I use it and like it.  Sometimes I run into sites that it doesn't read properly, though.  It's a decent alternative if you don't like IE.

I visited a TRU today and picked up the Moray.  I have never had this vehicle before and I'm glad to finally own one.  I will use it for the Cobras, though.  I might paint it black or dark blue.  I have not decided yet.  The figures don't interest me at all.  I'll use them for spare parts.

Thanks.  My grandfather sounds like he was an outstanding person.  He knew Lincoln well from what I can tell and was against slavery and for Native American rights, which caused him to fight with the Missouri governor.  The President made him move from Missouri after he kicked the governor's butt.  If I had the money, I would make a movie about him.

Mostly Irish.  My mom is 100%.  Her mom and dad's families have been in the USA for over one hundred years, too, so that's no small feat.  My dad is 25% Irish, English, German and Polish.  That makes me something like 62% Irish.  I have an ancestor, a great grandfather, four or five greats, I'm not sure exactly, who was a general in the Civil War.  He won some battles and one former battlefield is now a state park in Arkansas.  They have the coat he wore during the battle and some information on what he did during his life.  He is buried in Iowa and they have a statue of him in a park.  I'll have to visit it someday.    I'm proud to be his decendant.

Here a a couple of links about him.
