I found exactly 288 of these sets today at a single Target marked down to $4.98 on a toy aisle endcap.  Not that I'm complaining, but I just don't understand Target's clearance logic sometimes.   ::)

Did they have a bunch of Kashyyyk troopers??

Update: I opened the Bossk and Ig-88...one word for both: WOW! The detail on these two is staggering - Bossk is a work of art. Ig-88 is actually a quarter of a head shorter than VTSC Chewie, so he is truly an amazing fig, and finally accurate height (taller than the vintage one). His back holster is kinda cool - the guns are made of a very hard plastic, but the blaster doesn't really fit...Amazing detail on this one...they never need to make new sculpts of either ever again, they are that good! The paint detail on these are subtle yet vibrant all at the same time - one thing I would say with this line, these are paint apps you would not see in the regular line - just too much detail. Just an example of what I mean: Bossk's tongue is painted well - something the reg versions did not have, not in this detail. There is no slop at all with these paint apps.

These two are my definite favorites from this series. I was very much looking forward to them, and they sure deliver! I can hardly believe 88 is double-jointed at the elbows, knees and ankles. (They damn well should be, at this price point.) I love his butcher knife. Since a society with the technology to fire lasers at each other would have no use for a knife in battle, I imagine he uses it for interrogation of organics... Sufficiently macabre! :o :-X :-[

I called Target today, and they told the street date was today. I went down to get them, but they weren't out. The same lady I spoke to on the phone said they'd be put out over night, and I could get them tomorrow. :P I told a manger what happened, and they put a case out.

I am in love with Bossk. :-* Best thing since VTSC Greedo! 88's pretty cherry too.

i tried switching the parts of bacara with a #41 clone as well but i notice the head sits very loosely. any one know how to fix it :S

No. I don't really do any customizing. I knew Bacara's head didn't fit right, but I was tired of not having a poseable one. I just bit the bullet and made the swap. I find if you put the head on all the way, it drops all the way to the shoulders and looks like he has no neck. I just put it on until it stays where I want it, and stop there. It's not a proper fit; you just have to balance it where you want it.

I have four and mine all stand pretty well. It's definitely one of my top favorite clone trooper figures.

Shortly after getting them, I finally decided to salvage a decent Bacara out of the junk Hasbro sold us. I put his parts on a #41. I put him and his troops on my desk the other night in a recreation of the their Order 66 scene. It's nice to finally be able to pose Bacara; I've got him looking like he's skidding to a stop to fire at Mundi, like in the movie. It looks pretty cool! 8)

I think the Rodian is just one figure and, if you want twins, you buy two. Like the Cantina Musician...

the body is well articulated, and looks pretty great.

I want to know how long before we see Walrusman on this body. It looks like it'll work great for him with a new head, hands and almost no retooling!

I think it's OK. My opinion never really jibes with the fandom-at-large anyway.

I actually think it's the best Ep IV Hamill sculpt we've gotten. Go figure.

I got a chance to open some of these this week, and although it might not be the most exciting character - the Rebel Honor Guard is a pretty nifty figure.  Nicely articulated, nice helmet, and a couple of accessories.  If we could only get some other Rebel troops in this super-articulated style (Hoth Rebels, Endor Rebels, Fleet Troops, etc.)

I agree Brian... and it might be the best Rebel Trooper type figure they've ever done.

 :P

I'm with you, too! I really like this guy...and he's well done. I commented a while back, when pics first appeared, that he was the most boring character I had ever been really excited about. :D It's neat to have background rebel guys from old school Star Wars.

I actually kinda want one or two of these... 8)

I love mine. But now I want a POTF one for variety. :D

Is anyone coming across an abundance of the red sets? I can't find any.

Well, I can't attest to an abundance, but the first time I went looking for a bantha, the only 3 my TRU had were red. I had to drive another 10 or 15 minutes to find the regular tan I wanted. There 17 in stock, but most were way up on the shelf. The 4 or 5 I got to see were tan.

But what qualifies it as a valid report? Don't people normaly bug the poster for pictures and a recipt as proof? I could say the I found wave 6 at Target yesterday, but that doesn't mean it's true.

I have no idea of the veracity of the report. I was just passing on the post.

Where did this report come from? Maryland DC getting stuff first? Never heard of that.

I just saw this post.

I noticed the Massif is a lot softer and gummier than the one I have from the carded Saga release. :-\

I may have to take that back. I was just messing with my old one, and he seems about as soft as this one. Must be the heat.
