HMI, I have a similar problem to yours. I rotate between 2nd shift and 3rd shift and though I don't expect my friend's to keep track all the time, when I say I'm working so and so hours, don't start bugging me to go out during those times. Case in point, some friends and I usually get together twice a month for dinner at Chili's. I'll get an email from the guys saying hey were going to be there at such and such time the following night. I'll then write back and say I can't make it, I'll be working. So what happens? The next morning, I'll get a phone call from one of the guys (usually the guy who sent out the initial email), waking me up to remind me of the time. To which I have to say to him "WHAT THE **** don't you read the replies to the email you sent out? I got work later on and oh yeah thanks for ****** waking me up *******!" And I leave it at that. You would think by now they'd get the point when I say I can't go, I can't go.
Then again that's basically the same group I play poker with and again many times I can't make it cause of my work schedule. Well this week we're discussing the next game, the date of April 15th had been discussed at one point. So I send out an email sayin hey are we doing the game on the 15th and reminding them I can't make it on the 22nd (C3). So 4 of the 5 guys get back to me to say yeah we're doing the 15th. Then the 5th guy comes in and says he can't do the 15th, how about the 22nd? Well then the other 4 guys write back and say yeah we're all in for the 22nd, not even remembering we had just discussed that the 22nd wasn't good for me. Am I mad that they're playing the 22nd? No not at all, won't be the first game I've missed, but I get pissed when they don't bother to recall what I just said. Damn they're so ****** stupid sometimes...
