Oh, is that how it works? I've just become aware of it from "30 Rock"--didn't know there was more to it than that.
In that case. . . The Indiana Jones trilogy:
Date - Temple of Doom. Only because I have to marry Raiders, and have to kill Last Crusade.
Marry - Raiders. My favorite non-SW flick of all time.
Kill - Last Crusade. A shameless retread of the original. Most people would kill Temple, but at least it tried to do something new and different.

That's how it's always been with me and my friends, I can't speak for everyone on that... Just how we viewed it.
For instance I want to date Jamie because he'd be up for hockey games... Not sure you are. I'm marrying Dean because he seems like he's got money I can get half of if we split up. I'm killing you just by default, but if you were a Pen's fan you could easily replace Jamie... If you're rich, well Dean's dead as a doornail.
It is funnier when it's women and you're just out at lunch observing groups of 3... Or if you put down like Hitler, Stalin, Kim Jong Ill or something... It can be very funny when people explain why they choose what they choose.

Let's see--I'm dirt poor, and don't really care about hockey at all. I'd be up for going up to a game (I've been to a few before)--I just probably wouldn't get into it as much as a hockey fan would. But hey, no biggie--given the options, I'd kill me, too.
