Title: Hoth Leia.. which hand?

OK, so I just picked a Hoth Leia to add to my ever growing (not as fast as I would like ;) loose collection.

Which hand is she supposed to hold the gun in?  

Neither one of the hands hold the gun well, it just kinda dangles there.

There is no damage on the fig either... anyone else have this prob?

Any tips?

The gun is held in the right hand. It does not fit that well. I took mine & gave the gun a little turn outward so it stays in her hand.

Scott, here's something I've done before with this same problem.  I had a bag of very tiny rubber bands that were meant for braces (teeth).  I would double wrap it around the weapon, and then it would stick in the figure's hand without ever moving around or falling out.

The only bad thing is that I'm not sure where you can get those rubber bands.  You could probably try an office supply or craft store.  I'd like to show you a picture of how I set it up, but I don't have any examples to show you because I traded away those figures some time ago.

Who says there's on benefit to having a three year old daughter ;)  You can get very, very tiny hair elastics in clear, quite similar to the packing elastics with newer figures.  They'll be a bit larger, but doubling them should get the job done.  

I've no idea where to find them, but check the hair care section in Walmart, Zellers or Shoppers, my wife's favourite places to go for that stuff ;D

Also a good tip!  As I read it, I thought of using those little see through bands that hold the weapons in the hands of modern figs..

Since I am an "opener" I usually just throw them away with all the rest of the packaging material... just have to remember to save a few next time I go on an "opening" binge... :)
