Kubricks / Re: Deluxe Series 3, ANH (we hope)
« on: June 22, 2009, 10:56 AM »
I think this set is a bit tougher than the others, because there weren't that many main characters or drastically different outfits/incarnations of characters from ANH that we didn't already get.  The ceremonial garb is one possibility, but they only appeared for about a minute, and those aren't particularly interesting or different, IMO.

I say one or two more "bar" aliens/monsters, possibly another new empire goon, maybe an update of "classic" Leia and Luke, though I would hope that they would have enough to set them apart from their "Early Bird" releases.  "Old Ben" with hood up could be a nice variant to own, though kind of dull.

I do, as well, just because I remember having the old Kenner toy, and it had a blue jacket.  But it still looks brown in that pic to me  :P

I usually don't care for the 400%ers, but this one is very tempting. . .love the shiny-ness.

Loving this wave!  A++ to the Deluxe series.  My Kubes are currently unavailable for reference but what are the differences in the Hoth Han (as best as we can tell)?
Here is a pic:

Looks to me like the goggles is the only difference.  Both jackets appear brown.

This Luke and Leia were the major missing parts of my Star Wars Kubrick collection, so I'm gonna have to track 'em down.  I really hope you can just buy a single case and get all you need for the BAFs here.  I also wish DST would learn a lesson from this, and convince Marvel to let them do Minimate BAFs.  I need me a giant Giant Man Minimate.

Just saw this.  Amazing.  I really hope it is reasonably affordable, though  :(

I picked up the Terminator Minimates from Toys R Us a few weeks ago.  I love them:

I don't know if you guys have seen this, but the sets of six have been available for pre-order off of EBay for about $100 shipped to the U.S.

After much searching, I found some cool displays for my Kubricks--at the Target, in the form of little steps designed to hold spices.  Anyway, I've got two of them covered in Kubs--one exclusively Star Wars.  I got a couple more, and the Kubs to fit on them, but no space on the shelves yet :(

I am a huge MGS fan, so I am certainly looking forward to those, particularly snake is his "Pliskin" alter ego.  Solidus also looks to be a really cool figure, with the wacky tentacle-things.

I saw that, too.  Is this some kind of hack you figure?  Or did the owner of the site stop paying the bills. . .

HAHAHA!

Duff from the food network minimate.

If anyone wants one
If any of you collect Minimates, this is a definite toy to get for his accessories alone.  He comes with a chainsaw, flamethrower (or I treat it as such, anyway), and cool baseball hat that you can see in this pic, among other stuff.  Very cool Minimate.

Absolutely  not a Medicom products.. it SUCKS.
Though I'm no fan of KO Kubricks (trust me, I am no fan), to be fair, the quality on some of their 400%ers is nothing to write home about. . .and my Buzz Lightyear Kubrick arm snapped off when I tried to move it upward >:(

I love all the Alien stuff, just can't afford to have a complete set.
I'll always keep the chest burster though.

CB
Kane with Chest Burster was the first Alien figure that I got (he costed me as much as the entire Power Loader set did).  He is probably in my top 5 of Kubricks.
