Defender Wishlists 2023: Playset with figure

What are your 10 most wanted Playlists you'd like to see in The Vintage Collection?

For the most part, what I'm looking for are modular sets like the Carbon Freeze Chamber and Tantive IV, so in those cases, I opted for the included figure to be an army builder. There are a couple of instances where the playset item is more unique (like Vader's meditation chamber or the Bespin gantry), so those would have a unique figure that's necessary for those scenes.

1. Echo Base (with Hoth Trooper)
2. Cloud City (with Bespin Guards)
3. Death Star (with Death Star Trooper)
4. Emperor's Throne Room - two sets building on the Emperor set from a couple years ago (one with Sim Aloo and one with the pointy hat guy who's name I can't remember)
5. Home One - modular sets to complete the semicircle (with Mon Calamari crewman)
6. Ewok Village (with generic-ish Ewok)
7. Mustafar duel - two different sets (one with Anakin "Darth Vader" and one with Obi-Wan)
8. Star Destroyer bridge (with Admiral Ozzel)
9. Star Destroyer - Darth Vader's meditation chamber (with removable helmet Darth Vader)
10. Cloud City gantry - "I am your father" scene (with a beaten-up Bespin Luke)

This could be one of the more challenging wishlists to do since so there are so many directions in which you could go with the concept.

TPM - Trade Federation Droid Control Ship - Corridors / Command deck with blast doors (with Security Battle Droid)

AOTC - Geonosis Droid Factory - the assembly line for the droids in greater detail than the SAGA releases with droid parts and machinery (with Geonosian warrior)

CLONE WARS - Venator Star Destroyer - Operations / communications center, holographic table, blast door & corridor (with Clone Naval Officer)

ROTS - EmPal medical center -  the whole medical center setting with table, lowering mask, Imperial sigil floor (with newly armored Darth Vader)

OBI-WAN KENOBI - Fortress Inquisitorius - Corridor, blast door & Jedi tomb (with Seeker Droid)

SOLO - Dryden Vos's chambers with treasures - crystal skull, holocrons, Mandalorian armor, etc (with Hylobon Enforcer) ***side note - I want Dryden Vos in TVC, but as a mainline carded release

ROGUE ONE - Profundity Bridge (with Admiral Raddus) ***could double as a Home One bridge***

ANH - Death Star gun station - Battle of Yavin AA gunners (with Death Star Gunner)

ROTJ - Ewok village (with generic Ewok)

TM - New Republic prison barge corridor w/ cells, blast door (with New Republic Security Droid)

I am still working on my list, and now I may need to update it after the Jabba announcement. This is a tough one. There are so many sets I'd love. I keep going back and forth between set pieces from key story moments in the film & bigger set pieces that can be used with a ton of other figures. Then there's the whole OT, PT, ST, & D+ era debate... I don't think I'd be unhappy with anything anyone has suggested so far.

There are a lot of good ideas here. 

I really am not sure how I'm going to tally up this round.  For instance, we have Bespin Gantry and Bespin Dining Room, I'm considering just putting them together in one "world", like Bespin (Gantry, Dining Room, Incinerator Room, etc.) or Death Star (Detention Block, Trash Compactor, Hallways, Tractor beam, Conference Room, Throne Room, etc) since they are similar themes.  What do you all think?

I really am not sure how I'm going to tally up this round.  ...What do you all think?

I am fine with "themes" (Death Star, Echo Base, Bespin, Death Star II, etc) if that is how you want to do it. 

But, if that is how we're thinking about counting, I want to go back and redo my list and combine the DS, Bespin, and Home One sets so I can get three more picks in there then...

It'd be nice to get some more participation on this one, but maybe the interest isn't there for playsets?

I think the interest is definitely there.  Hasbro has been releasing at least one per year since they offered the Jabba's Palace Adventure Set.  But it seems like Hasbro has a formula that they're sticking to, and maybe that's leading to a failure of imagination.

It seems like we have some very, very small hope of new figures being released, but with playsets I feel a little defeated by their recent attempts - scale of 1-10 with 10 being interesting and great value:
- Tantive IV hallway with Rebel Fleet Trooper - 8
- Jabba's Palace Adventure set - 5
- Navarro cantina - 4
- Endor bunker playset - 2
- Boba Fett / Jabba's throne room - TBD, but probably 4

Hasbro seems more interested in creating lots of little bottles, pillows, and other random doo-dads than actually making a cool playset at a reasonable price.  I'm not sure if they put all those things in there just to justify the price or if people (other than photo scene specialists) really dig those things.

In the Darryl DePreist days they used to execute these consistently well.  It doesn't need to be complicated, but it might take a commitment to actually making something new.  The ideas listed in this thread are solid, and will likely never get done.

My top no-brainers would be:

- Rebel briefing room - any would be great but Rogue One or TFA would be my preference - maybe they'll have the Rogue One style room in Andor season 2

I'd also love to see a Rix Road playset from Andor done too, but they'll actually need to make figures to put in it.  Same goes for the Solo Sabacc table.  Now I'm really dreaming.

There are so many iconic set pieces / furniture pieces that are still waiting to get into the line, these little "wall with greeblie" playset designs would be the perfect place for Hasbro to slot in stuff like Echo Base computers, Death Star duty stations or conference room furniture, Cloud City dining room furniture, etc etc.

There is so much more that they can do once they've gotten their fill of alcohol bottles and pillows.

If the moisture vaporator accessory hadn't come out in 2007, I would still be advocating for that thing, it is one of my favorite "figures" they ever made!
