Yep, I was at a Walmart today on a lunchbreak on a business trip, and ran back to the toy section, and to my surprise I saw a BLONDE Imperial Officer and Barriss Offee. I nabbed the Imperial Officer, and then decided to check out the MOTU figures and next to them on the shelf face down was...
...a RED BATTLE DROID! :D
Wheeeeeeee!!!
Too bad someone beat me to the new Yoda and the Jedi kiddos, but this is definitely better than 95% of my recent toy runs.
I know a few reports have trickled in on these being spotted at Target stores, but anyone else seen them at Walmart too?
:P
-
...all I have to add to this is that I'm jealous. See sig for details. :'(
-
My Walmart got a case of this wave in finally but for carded collectors they wouldn't be too happy. The case looked like it had been ran over with a semi twice. But I did manage to get a Ashla Jempa opener. ;D
-
Then it probably looked like the ones that I got...Awesome score Chewie!!!! I suspect that there will more soon to be had!!!!
-
Wow, you have new figures in your Walmart. Very lucky I must say. Not us. :'(
-
The 5 that I found this last Wednesday were at Wally World too...Looks like the place to shop kiddies
-
Congratulations on an awesome score Chewie! There hasn't been squat of anything new anywhere by me. I've heard rumors there are some stores that have newer figures in my area, but I'm not driving an hour or more just to get them. It's not worth it anymore. I just let Kebco Toys do all the work for me. :)
And yes, I am VERY jealous of you too! ;)
-
i don't even have a Wal-Mart.....
but the battle droids aren't anythign i'm big on.
i stear clear of AOTC figures somewhat...

My local Wally World just put up a "new" case of Padme DFC, SP-4&JN66, Blonde Imp, Yoda, and the like. I thought we were soppesed to be seeing actually new figures? Not new shipments of old figures. ???

I'd rather be seeing the absolute latest figures too, but those are still considered new in a sense because most stores still haven't even put those out yet.
:P

Grass is always greener. Last "new" fig I saw was the Maul fig (#42 or so) and Tatooine Attack Anakin ::) All of one case. Canuckian Walmarts are reporting no new figures until August. :o

Oh man, that was yoor 666th post. Yikes...
If you want, send me a PM and I can try and help you on some newer figures if you like.
:P

Hey you big walking carpet! Did you open the RBD?
If so, how's the quality? I've heard bad stuff so far...
That wasn't a bad toy run at any rate, to supplement your online cases.
Did you or anyone else receive Wave 13 (Wat Tambor, Coleman Trebor, Broccoli Padme) from New Force yet?
:D

Wal-Marts in Indy has Jango Pilot, Padme Pilot, Destroyer Droid, CLone Pilot, Obi-Wan, and Dooku (Tyranus).
Nothing really new except for the one case of Han and Chewie that was found not too long ago. I hope my Wallyworlds stock soon.
-
Great find Chewie.
I didn't know Walmart even carried Star Wars toys, I thought they only had Hulk stuff. ::) :-\
-
Don't get me started on that Hulk stuff. Especially those lame Hulk Hands.

Heh. 666, gone now, everyone remain calm, purely a coincidence ;D
Thanks very much for the offer Chewie, I really appreciate it. I'm doing fine though, having pretty much given up the hunt and relying on online retailers. LMK if you find a Hoth Han with blue coat. The rumor is the case I'm getting with him will be brown, so it would be nice to have both.
cheers.

Congrats on finding something CHEWIE, it seems like those finds are few and far between anymore. I know many people have said there are lulls like this a lot, but it is really starting to get ridiculous for some people. I haven't seen a single 2003 figure, or even the late 2002 figures here at all, no signs of them ever being there either, and it is almost the middle of June :). The targets near me have cleared their pegs, but not put anything new out yet, and Wal-Marts and TRU seem to be flooded with Jangos and a few other figures from last year. I'm glad that I pre-ordered some from Kebco, can't wait for them to show up. Hopefully retail will improve soon, or at least when the Clone Wars/Saga line seperate in the fall.
-
Thanks mosnab, it will be a day long remembered. First I found a blonde Imperial Officer, soon I was to find a red Battle Droid. :D
Target stores everywhere in St. Louis, MO are totally cleared out too. I'm hoping this means that sometime very soon new stuff is going to be easier to get. Please Hasbro Please!
:P
-
To bad you weren't in town when you found those CHEWIE! It could've meant hope for me!
-
I did something pointless and immature at my local WM. Tired of seeing the 10 Orn Free Taas on the barren pegs, I stacked them up and carried them to the clearance section. About 2 weeks later they were back, so this time I stacked them behind other merchandise. I know the WM stockboy has nothing to do with the distribution problems, but it's my little way of giving the finger to whoever is causing this drought!
-
I don't see anything wrong with doing that, it's not like they are going to sell anyway. :P
On the other hand though, they keep all inventory through the computers and won't order more unless the quantity is reduced through the registers at a sale or through a telxon (at least that's my understanding).
:P
-
so what you do is buy 12 Orn Free Tas (now bear with me on this one) wait until new stock comes on hand, put the new stock on Lay A way, return the Orns and pick up the new figs on Lay a way...
by the way let me know if this works, my WM has a 12 Arena Padmes
-
All the Walmarts in my area are finally clearancing the TIE Bombers, maybe this is a sign of them making some room for some Clone Wars stuff.
Also, I saw the new Vader and Luke lightsabers today. Very sweet packaging.
:P
