You can mix them with like, chunks of ham, sausage, and other oddities.

They are really cheap too... Always gotta stock up on them ramen noodles! ;D
-
Only when the water is drained off and they are buttered.
Those spice packets suck unless u have real chicken to put in with the soup...
-
Nope...got a packet once with some bugs in it...probably harmless, extra protein yadda yadda, can't eat them any more (same goes for Instant Oatmeal)
They were a nice meal though in College :)

That's for sure. I'd usually eat a lot of them at the end of the semester when I was low on money

Ramen noodles are awesome! Easy to make and delicious, too. ;D

Ramen noodles, also known as Ichiban. I use them for a quick meal & are best when I go backpacking. Nice & light to carry in the pack. When I'm up in the mountains, I add more dehydrated vegetables, shrimp & meat to bring it up to a flavorful meal.
Sometimes I use them to make salads.
I never found any bugs in mine, unless I put them in there! ;D

They are loaded with salt, and are horrible for you. I lived off of those for almost a year, and I regret it because I never lost all the weight I gained from it.

Hi, my name is Andy...
and i am a Ramen Noodle Addict...
-
Haven't eaten them since they made me yak back in college. If I want soup - and I use that term loosely for Ramen Noodles - then I'll make my own.

Most definitely! Ate those suckers for many years in college (just the chicken and beef flavors). Very cheap they are, thus conserving the much needed dinero for more important things... like beer! 8)

I remember back in the day I practically lived off those things. When I moved out for the first time, I was kind of broke....so it was about all I could consistently afford (besides free meals at whatever restaurant I or the girl I was dating at the time worked at).
These days, I always have that 5.00 costco 20 pack of them stashed in my cupboards. It's like a staple.
Gotta have em.
I put the seasoning in, then drain out about 90% of the broth and eat 2 packs like that as a dinner, preferably with some veggies or something added.
Some additions over the years (one at a time, or mix and match):
Frozen assorted veggies are the easiest. Just throw them in to the water at the same time as the noodles, right out of the freezer.
Pieces of chicken, hotdogs, pork or other tasty meat. Leftover rotisserie is always good.
Chili. (Ewww....but try it.) Mix a can of cooked chili into the pot of drained noodles and you have a pretty good little dinner there.
Crackers, bread crumbs....whatever.
Finally
Eggs. Just drop an egg or two into the mix as it's boiling. Stir it up a bit.

After trying JoshEEE's recipie...I dont like eggs much, I decided I would do a google search.

I don't usually eat Ramen Noodles but once in a while I will have them or cup o noodles. I think these noodles are the number 1 meal that homeless and other people who need assitance suring the hoildays. MY High school one year had to put a stop at kids bring in boxes of noodles since we had gotten hundreds of boxes of them. The noodles are a cheap and easy way to get extra credit.
-
I mean, where else are you going to eat dinner for eight cents?
-
Meee, I eat them all the time at the store, quick way to get lunch
-
They're okay and all, but my god are they salty. Using 2 packages of them I had 70 percent of my daily sodium intake within 5 minutes. The fact that I had crackers with it doesn't help either.

Hey, you picked the crackers up off the table. Your choice.

Dude, I should not still be tasting salt. That's pretty bad.
-
I'd have to say i'm a Ramen Noodles junkie. Preffered flavor is shrimp, but beef is good too.
-
Love Ramen noodles!!!
oriental is my fav flav!!!! ;D
-
I'm going to give this a little bump, cause I have only been eating ramen lately. It's finals week this week, I ran out of real food this weekend sometime, and in the last few days have consumed at least 10 servings of Ramen. :P
-
I love the chicken flavor. But I don't eat them as soups, but cook the noodles and then add the chicken flavor after I drain the water!! Mmm mmm cheap and good!! But agreed, salty as hell!!
-
I like chicken flavor. I also like to add an egg at the end. My version of egg drop soup.
-
I like the chicken, beef and chili lime flavors. I always drain all the broth out before I eat them so I cut back on the salt. I usually eat them with tuna or canned chicken.
-
Wow, everyone has their own "speciality" with Ramen. Mine is simply to boil water and throw in the seasoning.
-
I just had Ramen Noodles today after a long period of not dining on them, and rediscovered how good and filling they are. Cheap too.
