Really sorry to hear about Bella, Andrew...   :'(  Yeah, what kind of dogs were they, and did they ever have problems with your cat before?

Sorry to hear about "Hoggle" as well L-V!

Sorry to hear about Hoggle. :'(

Well,it does seem like the black lab did it,because the other three do fight with her,but never actually touched her.The black lab on he other hand gets rough,he's no agressive to all the other animals, except her. Also,it appears that it must quite a struggle,as the kitchen had blood smeared from one end to the other, with paw marks in the blood about his size. However,it also looks like the other dogs were in on it(they are only dogs)because the Italian Greyhound had several small scratches.BUT,we can never really be sure can we?Because we haven't found the body yet,we can't look at the teeth marks on the body to determine which dog was the alpha male so to speak.I can't blame them for, they are after all only dogs.

Sorry about your cat dude.

I seriously hope you don't have any small children, I would be worried about them if you do.

What's wrong with your cat?  I have four cats, and anytime I hear something bad about someone's cat it makes me sad.  I sure hope that your cat gets better soon.

Cripes, sorry to hear that, Andrew. I'd be lost w/o my cat, Harley. He's like my kid, and I'd swear he's human.

Title: Ohhh goody!Another dead cat!
Post by: Vator on August 24, 2003, 01:41 AM
That's right, another one of my animals is dead.My cat Peggy(in all fairness she was like 40 human years)died from chocking on her own vomit. It didn't look like an easy death, vomit all over, urine soaking her fur, claws out.Like I said, not a pretty picture.I swear, this is just too much!Over the past three years all of the following people have passed on in my life...

Caral Gibson, Grandfather(2000,summer)
Sunshine, Bird(Spring 2001)
Brian Gibson, Cousin(November 2001)
Heidi II, Dog(Summer 2002)
Stormie, Bird(November 2002)
Belladonna, Cat(Early July 2003)
Peggy, Cat(Late August 2003)

Man,don't you think this is a little much?

Damn.  Sorry to hear of so much sadness and misfortune for you Andrew.  My condolences, for your cat and all the others that you've lost in the last couple years.  Hopefully things will turn around for you soon, and some good things will start happening in place of all the unfortunate ones!

Hang in there...   :-\

Sorry to hear that... We've lost three cats in the past 5-6 months, 1 was really old and it was just her time, the other two were kittens, only about a month and a half old. Each died about a week from one another

What happened with your kittens?  I'm sorry to hear that they were only able to live such a very short life.   :'(

We got them from the pound, and it ended up they all had a feline disease from their mother. The entire litter died within a couple of weeks, around the time the first of the two of ours did. The other held out for just over a week, but just never recovered.

Don't they call that cat disease FIV?  My friends have a bunch of cats, and one of their cats didn't survive that horrific disease.   :'(

I’m so sorry to hear about your loss. I keep pet rats, and they’re all different ages, so the death of a pet is a fairly common occurrence in my house  :'( . They’re just rodents, but I still get so emotionally attached to them.

You know, when I read this thread title, I thought you meant like "Oh great, another kitten killing thread" and it turned out to be a REAL dead cat.

Sorry to hear that.  When my cat died last year, I was pretty sad too. It was a real bummer.

She was about 12 years old....and had lived with my Dad all that time. My stepmom wanted me to take her to my house (since I finally settled down and bought a place instead of moving all the time like I did through my twenties). I said I really didn't want to disrupt her final years, but she insisted....so I did.

Even 2 weeks after she moved in with me, she was still hiding under the couch most of the day except when I would sit with her. She was always an outside cat, and HATED being in the house. She also had to wear a collar with her name on it, (just in case she got away) and she hated that too.

One night I had some friends over, and she got outside as people were walking out to my patio. I didn't see her again that night, and so I put up missing posters all over the neighborhood the next day.

I was in line for AOTC when I got the call that someone had found my cat. I was SO excited, until they told me that they found her dead in their yard. They had two mean Germand Shepards that probably killed my cat, but they blamed it on coyotes or something.

I ended up picking her up the next day and taking her to get cremated. It was really sad.

The worst thing is now my girlfriend's cats live with me, but neither one is friendly like my cat was, and they just run away all the time. I miss my cat.   :(
