Looks like we are getting a new helmet sculpt on this set already.
I'm very mixed on this set. Hasbro at least has moved away from including an officer or single unique figure in the set, upping the army-building potential. However, it is still a bit of a letdown that they combined the different battalions of clones in one set. I'm also still not thrilled that we literally just got all of these single-carded on either the old clone body or the new body w/ the original PII helmet sculpt.
I'll probably start out w/ just two sets.
-
Yeah I feel like I don't need more than one of these. I'm assuming they're $60 plus tax which is a lot for yet more clones.
-
It's like one step forward, two steps back. I'm glad there are no unique figures in the set, but I'd rather buy full sets of specific battalions. I would likely buy all three, but not in this same ratio. I really only want a couple of the Ahsoka clones, but I want a good dozen of the 501st, and there's no way I'm buying 12 sets.

Hasbro press release (which has been wrong before) says $54.99

I think I'm going to pass on these since we've essentially just purchased all of these separately. Maybe if it gets marked down I may pick one up, but I'm not going to rush to get this set.

I'm glad to see this one is still $54.99 at Pulse and EE. I liked it better when these were in the $40-45 range, but I will take $55 over $60 like Tusken and Imp Officer sets were.
-
I went ahead and ordered two… if they ever go on sale I could see myself buying a few more.
-
I’m passing unless someone can prove that Ahsoka Trooper is noticeably different than the one I bought single carded.

These are supposed to use the new VC269 clone sculpt (with what looks like a new helmet sculpt, as Ryan pointed out). The VC248 Ahsoka Clone single carded release used the old VC45 clone sculpt.
VC45 sculpt is skinnier in the legs, has a different codpiece/waist, and it looks like the new one has slightly better paint apps, though it's always unsure how the final production stuff will look.

I don’t usually get too picky about sculpts, but I hated those skinny legs.
These all look much much better.
-
I agree - VC45 was a nice upgrade at the time but those skinny legs? Yuck.
Looks like we are getting a new helmet sculpt on this set already.
Looking closer at the pics, these might not be new helmets, but whole new non-removable helmet-heads? I don't think Hasbro has shown any pics of them sans helmets.
-
That wouldn’t bother me.
They’re on Amazon now too. Got a sponsor link Jeff?

Also sounds like June 1st, 2024 will be the date for them on Shop Disney.

Thanks, snagged two there too.

Yup, I'm seeing that, too. These look like an improvement over the first version, the visor is much better as is the scale, but now it looks like something is off with the mouth area. I really wish they would have just got these right... Maybe third time is the charm? :-\

Looks like the two sets I pre-ordered at EE are processing. UPS delivery notification says they will be here next week.
-
I just got the same notification from Pulse.

Me three

Got my sets yesterday. Really like the look of the new helmet heads compared to the removable helmet on the VC269 carded Andor version.
My only criticism is the mix. I wish it was 2x 501st instead of 2x plain white, but whatever. I really would have preferred a full 4x pack of 501st but I get they were going for a Clone Wars S7/Ahsoka/501st vibe mix here and that's fine I guess.
-
I just came here to post the same basic thing.
If these things drop in price at all, I’m going to buy a bunch and sell the Ahsoka Clones.
-
So it turns out I really like this set... I don't really want 80 Ahsoka clones, but I keep buying them for the other troops. It's nice to finally have these clones with modern sculpts that don't feel dated or lanky. If these go on sale at the holidays... I'm going to buy ten more.

I'd love a solid 501st x4 set or a Shocktrooper x4 set with this sculpt/helmet too at some point in the near future.
-
Same. Utapau clone would be nice too. Even a set that's a mix of those and doesn't have the Ahsoka one in there...
-
They had a 25% off sale at the Disney Store online recently along with free shipping. I finally picked this up along with the E1 and E2 retro figures I never got.
They may still have the sale going on. Not a tremendous deal, but not bad.
-
Yeah I bought two more during that sale. It’s been over for a few weeks.
-
This set has definitely grown on me as well. I liked it a lot more than the 212th set w/ the removable helmets. The scale of the new helmet sculpt is much more accurate looking. I currently have four of this set, with four more on the way from the Amazon sale. I'll probably keep adding to that whenever these go on sale again.
It's crazy that this set was originally pipelined a year ago, and we have yet to see another clone 4-pack announced since. Hasbro could easily put out 1-2 sets of clones per year and they'd all sell well.
