Disclaimer - nothing official until Hasbro confirms it, etc, but we all know Jayson's track record by now. From the Yak Master List (https://yakfaceforums.com/main/2023/12/17/2024-master-upc-dpci-sku-list/).
“Zander” – Mandalorian & Blurrg
If true, it's about damn time. I wonder what they'd charge for this if Speeder Bikes are $50 these days?
-
Hey! They're $45, Jeff. A world of difference, LOL!
I hope it's true. We'll see. Jayson's track record is stellar, and I don't think he would commit to that unless he had some solid information.

Mandalorian
"And there was much rejoicing." *weak applause and jeers*
Blurrg
"And there was much rejoicing!" * thunderous applause and cheers*

Better late than never!

Going to need at least three of these!

Going to need at least three of these!
Was thinking the same thing, and was bummed that they're looking at including a Mando with them... I'd rather it be a little less expensive and not have him, but I get it.

Oh don't worry... it will get repacked at least one more time with Kuill.
It's about time we get this though. I'm excited to see this one revealed. I'll be down for up to three of these well (depending on the initial price).

If they are going with Mando, I'm hoping it's S1/E1 Mando with his pre-beskar armor. It's been a long time since we got that look for him and it might be nice to get that version again since I have so many Beskar Mando figures now. Give him a nice soft goods upgrade over that original VC166 Mando (https://www.banthaskull.com/photo_galleries/gallery/ph-vc166-the-mandalorian) and bring back the pulse rifle for disintegrating Jawas.

Yeah, that feels like a safe bet these days. I am dumb so I'll likely buy a second Mando/Blurrg just in case they don't though.

I think those of us who want three total will be OK doing that. I think it is safe to say that they aren't planning on releasing the third Blurgg w/ Cara Dune any time soon... :-X

But you know how it'll go with some collectors: "For $39.99 they could have included a figure!"
Stoked about these (if true). Hope the tail has some articulation so each one I get can be posed a little differently and they won't look like they're in a militairy parade.
-
I personally feel like the speeder bikes should have probably been priced around $34.99. $44.99 was too much, and I think the market responded. I could see the potential for Hasbro to try lowering the retail price to $39.99 in an effort to move this assortment.
So if this is true? I'm wondering if Hasbro would go with Din Djarin's durasteel armor as seen on Arvala 7 at the beginning of the series, or his beskar armor as seen in Chapter 7? I think the durasteel armor look could benefit from a lot of the innovations that have been introduced for TVC figures since VC166 came out in 2020. Plus, updating that version of Din Djarin could yield a version that might be included with a Mudhorn! I still think that's a creature worth bringing to a creature assortment since it's the inspiration for his sigil on his armor.

Confirmed via pipeline reveal at today's Hasbro Star Wars livestream...
TVC BLurrg & The Mandalorian.

I wonder if these is Steve Evans getting involved and slapping the organization around to do some of the most obvious things they haven't done in the past four years.
-
I was glad to hear Emily specify that this Blurrg and Mando would be from the first episode of the series. A more up to date version of him in the durasteel armor would be a nice addition to the line!
-
I'm down for three!

Pre-order tomorrow, 5pm ET, Fan Channel and Amazon -

I love him. Almost no complaints with this one. I would have taken added rocker ankles to the Mando pack-in, but I am primarily buying this for the Blurgg. I think I will start with three, and if they ever really a second with Kuill, I can repurpose one or two to an Endor display.
It is GREAT to have beasts back in the line. Hopefully, some new Banthas & Dewbacks will follow this in the next two years.

That $25 can't possibly be right (the press release says $40). I grabbed two at $25 as that seems like a nice deal without having to wait for clearance.
edit:
I must have gotten my orders in just under the wire - as of 3pm CT the Blurrg is now at the correct $39.99 price.
-
DAMN. I had a timer set but didn't bother running up right away to get them.

I ordered mine around 1:30p PT and it was $39.99.
Hopefully, you guys get the reduced price. As a warning, though, I seem to recall some folks placing a pre-order for some TBS for cheap only to have the price bumped up or order canceled way later. (I don't remember.)

The September wallet onslaught continues! Amazon says I can expect my two Blurrgs to be here on Monday 9/9.
-
Damn that’s fast from reveal to delivery. It’s kind of nice not having to wait 8 months or a year or whatever.
I preordered three but think two might be enough.
-
These things have to have been in the works for a while. The Razor Crest even has the netting to keep them in the cargo hold.
-
Sure but they didn't tell us about it until recently. So we got to complain for a year about not having them in the pipeline, but also didn't have to wait very long once they were announced.
-
Let's be honest Rob. If we didn't complain about the lack of Blurrgs because they were announced sooner, then we would've found something else to complain about. ;)
-
I'm not unhappy with the news that my Mando & Blurrg order is due to arrive next week. NOT AT ALL.
I'm concerned with the continued schedule padding by Hasbro. I just double checked my order spreadsheet. The original delivery date for this piece was JANUARY 21, 2025. That's not the usual 6 - 8 weeks of padding - that's OVER FOUR MONTHS OF PADDING! It raises serious questions about the process when the current sales model has evolved into "Pipeline Announcement - Product Reveal - Preorder - Wait a few months".
Oh, and in the meantime? There has been next to no updates about the most big ticket item - the Ghost!
-
I hear you Nick, and share your concerns. I'm wondering how much of this is Steve whipping the Star Wars team into shape?
-
It could be the randomness of scheduling production at a factory in China and scheduling a ship to haul it to the US. It could be that capacity unexpectedly opened up and everything moved faster than expected.
My guess is that they would aim to be more conservative than say it'll come in September and have it show up in January and have a bunch of fanboys whining about how late things are.
-
Hasbro has been padding the schedule for a while now. And it seems like they had that safety buffer set around 2 months beyond the date that figures were actually delivered. I get the concept - set expectations low, and when you overperform you look good. A 2 month safety net? Sure. But 4 months?!?!?!
I wish I could say that this was the result of Steve Evans' management of the design team. But this comes down to manufacturing schedules and transit from Asia to US ports. Could we actually be seeing some benefits from the decline of the toy industry getting figures to us faster???
For me the issue is just about wanting to have a greater degree of clarity about when deliveries will arrive. For some people it's more complicated because they order using debit cards. They need to have cash on hand to pay for those orders. That's not an issue for me as I use credit cards in order to get rewards for my orders.

My Blurrgs arrived today and They are really cool.
Check out my review and unboxing! (https://youtu.be/uiQfqqa9PQs)
-
I have endless complaints for Hasbro these days, but these Blurrgs are a home run. Live them.
-
Mine also arrived today, too. Live them too.
It's close to Kanan & Zeb, but the Blurrg may be my favorite TVC release of the year. Top-notch work by Hasbro. Creatures & beasts were sorely missing from the line for the last few years, and I am glad to see them come back with such a bang. I will happily rebuy more of these guys w/ other pack-ins or in an alternate Ewok movie set.
-
Can’t tell if you’re poking fun at my autofill or if you had the same autofill. 😑🙂
-
I live that you guys are enjoying your new Blurrgs.
I haven't opened mine yet - has anyone tried getting the TVC Kuiil on there yet?
-
That was the first thing I did.

Thanks for the pic, Rob. Not a perfect fit, but definitely passable for now.
-
Yeah it works, but I wouldn't be shocked if they eventually released a re-worked Kuiil with a Blurrg of his own.

Did the same thing...until I find my extra Cara Dune figure!

Great pics, Rob! The gloss and detail of the eyes immediately caught my attention.
