Hard to tell from the angle of the photos, did they fix the helmet?

Glad to see beasts making a comeback!

They did. Jing mentioned during the panel that "We listened to what you had to say. And the helmet is interchangeable", or something to that effect. The addition of the poncho was a nice touch, too, as is putting Sabine on a basic figure card.
I think the inclusion of the alternate legs for the Howler was a really nice touch. There's a limit to how much you can articulate those limbs, so the alternate legs really open up the possibilities for poses. I'm wondering if this will be the only Howler release, or if Hasbro might release more down the road with other figures? I know Baylan and Shin are both on the way, and I think they both wind up riding Howlers, too. And then there are the Peridean Raiders, who also seem to ride them.

Hasbro has confirmed that this should be going up for pre-order on October 23 at 1PM EST on Hasbro Pulse and participating retailers. $39.99 MSRP.

Love it! I thought it was a really cool looking beast in the show, and it's great to get one in the line. Like the Blurgg, it feels like there are some rereleases in the future for this one with the different riders. The updated Sabine looks great, it is too bad this wasn't the first release.
Minor gripe, and I can't tell if the image perspective is just squished: I still don't love the unnecessarily wide "Deluxe" cardbacks. They won't fit in standard cases and won't fit into a wall display without fully rearranging a grid. The Cobb Vanth & Sabine are also different sizes than the Maldo Kreis Manadalorina. Everything there looks like it would have fit on a standard card with a slightly larger bubble. It's weird that they seem to have used a deluxe card on a pack-in figure, too. It's not like it needs to stand out on its own next to basic figures on the self to indicate the pricepoint difference visually.

Thanks in turn for using our links and helping keep the lights on here in our little archaic corner of SW fandom.

I never imagined Hasbro would make this. I'm holding off getting more now in the hopes that It'll be released with other characters.
-
I have a $44.xx charge from Pulse on my credit card, I'm almost positive it's for this.

NICE! Amazon still has a July 3rd shipping date for this. The margin I had previously set for guess-timating Hasbro's delivery dates had been about 6 weeks. But this seems more like 10 weeks if this is for real. I guess once you get a tracking number you'll know for sure.

I got a shipping notice last night. So yeah, this one's on the way from Pulse.

I was wondering where this one was, and I apparently never preordered it, whoops.
