Love her or hate her... Lucasfilm Boss Kathleen Kennedy Expected to Retire This Year (https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/star-wars-kathleen-kennedy-lucasfilm-1235282440/).
This is from Hollywood Reporter and not some fan-blog/youtube-hater feed so probably pretty reliable. I am already dreading the new content from the "StaR WaRs WeNt WoKe, NoW iTs BrOKE" crowd. ::)

I guess I'm more of a "meh" when it comes to Kathleen Kennedy. In my opinion she was a capable caretaker, but not a visionary. She was good on the business side, and good at supporting Lucas/Spielberg, but I'm not sure how good she was on the creative side.
I'll be interested to see what direction Disney goes in to see who they want at the helm. Would they move Favreau of Filoni in to that role? Or would they go for a relative outsider?

I know it won't happen, but I'd rather it be someone heavily involved with Andor. Does Tony Gilroy want the job?!

I can imagine they are popping the champagne corks right about now over at JTA shouting “we did it!” ::)

Unfortunately, no one has reached out to me for this position. It might be because I am currently interviewing for a position with SpaceX.
I'd be happy with John Favreau taking the reigns.

Here comes the spin - https://deadline.com/2025/02/kathleen-kennedy-clarifies-lucasfilm-exit-star-wars-future-1236304421/
The gist I got from this interview was 'I am not retiring... from movies'. To me this interview reads like she will still be around as a movie producer, but not the head of LF within "months or a year out".
