Star Wars: Starfighter is a standalone film that takes place five years after the events of Star Wars: Episode IX - The Rise of Skywalker and begins production this fall.

I am still a bit hesitant with Disney's production track record to get too excited here, but that sounds potentially promising. Fall isn't so far off, but a lot can happen before then. We will see if the cast/crew remain intact or if the writer/director are replaced 5 times and production is delayed indefinitely...
