So it all started with The Sixth Sense which I think was one of the best movies of the 90's especially if you didn't know the whole I See Dead People thing coming into the show

This was followed by the vastly underrated Unbreakable which is one helluva movie and a great perfromance by both Willis and Sam Jackson. I dig this with a spoon

Mr M. Night then turned to aliens and crop circles with Signs. I liked this but not as much as the first two...

And now comes The Village set in New England where something lives in the woods which doesn't like the color red

I think of his movies as part Twighlight Zone part Hitchcock and I can't wait to see how The Village turns out

New England? I thought all his movies take place in Pennsylvania, as that's where M. Night grew up. I haven't seen Signs, so I don't know where it takes place.
But I agree, TSS and UB were top notch. In fact, TSS was the first DVD I bought. Have to get around to seeing Signs, although from what I hear, it's not as good as his previous two efforts.
Will probably wait until DVD to see The Village. Looks interesting though. One question - If the spookies don't like red, then why is Commodus wearing and painting yellow in that above pic?
-
Yeah you're right Mikey just checked and its late 1800 Pennsylvania
-
Seeing the Village tonight at a Sneak Preview, I really can't wait, reviews I've read point to an instant classic as well!
-
I"m going to go see the village around 10:00 tomorrow. can't wait.
I like all three of his previous movies even though I never consider any of them among my favorites. It's a little odd I guess, but I think they're all fantastic.

I've only seen Signs, which is a great movie (Although it has a MAJOR plot hole).
I'm seeing the Village tomorrow afternoon. I'm hoping for it to be a good flick, and not walk out disappointed.

Would this describe the plot hole you're speaking of?
Signs in four easy steps. (http://maddox.xmission.com/signs.html)

Yes. Yes it would.

I thought it started with The Sixty Sense

Seriously though, I really liked The Sixth Sense. Awesome movie. I'll never forget the way I felt in the theater watching it for the first time. I didn't care much for Unbreakable or Signs. In fact, I hated Unbreakable. I'm really looking forward to seeing The Village, though.

Most reviews I have read have been positive...my wife and I are going to a movie tomorrow, maybe this is what we'll see since she picked Spider-Man last time (win-win)
-
I saw it today....... It was okay. It had a disappointing ending, IMO. I'll wait and discuss it once more people see it.
-
Just got back - was quite disappointed.
Not the worst movie I've ever seen by a long shot, but easily my least favorite of Shyalamalamalalamalan's.
-
Sold out litteraly the SECOND I got to the ticket window, so I ended up having the choice of Catwoman, I, Robot, or Sprite.
I wasn't thirsty, and I don't like cats.
Lets just say now...I'm terrified of my toaster.

i was really looking forward to seeing the village. couldn't find anyone to go with me tho. then, i read the "spoiler" ending online. glad i didn't waste my money.
that movie must have sucked.
-
Yeah, it did.
-
I just got back from the Village. As a horro movie, it blows, and hard.
As just a run of the mill kind of movie, it's OK, the lesser side of OK that is.

Yeah, seeing as you probably have pretty similar tastes to mine, save your money. It was disappointing...to put it lightly.

Spoilers, shouldn't matter though, this movie isn't worht 10 bucks.
I know I wasn't the only person here who was pissed when that car was shown in the picture. I had hoped it really was the 1890s, but no, it had to be modern day. Not only that, they had to take away the creatures. Then dangle the hope of real ones, only for it to be Noah.
And talk about bad dialouge, that scene at the rangers office was horrible.
