PDubsOfTheSith has an extra ticket, so he invited me along to go see Drew Carey and his 'Who's Line' crew, at the Laf Festival at the Proctors Theatre on Saturday night. So, has anyone been to a Drew Carey thing?
This is my first comedy show I've ever been to.

Have fun Kev. Been to a few comedy clubs here in L.A. and saw a few B-list comedians, but that's about the extent of it.
I did however stand next to the tall skinny dude that was on the Drew Carey show, once over at Whole Foods when I was ordering a sandwich for lunch. Does that count for anything? :P

The Whose Line crew did an improv special on HBO (I think it was HBO) a while back and it was great stuff. If it's anything like that special and the show in general you'll have a great time. Just try not to get blinded by Colin Mochrie's bald spot! :)

My friend & his wife went to see them back in June this yr. Drew Carey was not with the troop but Ryan Stiles, Colin Mochrie (what a team) ;D Brad Sherwood, Greg Proops, Chip Esten & Jeff Davis were here. They enjoyed the whole show. Wish I could have went but I could not get the night of work. :-\
If you have seen Who's Line on TV, your going to like the show.
Have fun Kevin & give us your review. ;)

Well, I'm back, and I have to say, Drew Carey and company were funny as hell. The show started with Drew doing a 15 minute stand up routine he must have just written, because it was about yesterdays events. (Cheney going into the hospital). Anyway, the improv got going, and I gotta say, while he's funny, Greg Proops was a real *******. He kept insulting Schenectedy, the way some parents raised their kid because he suggested porn as a theme for a movie, etc. He really kept hammering on Schenectedy. Other than that, the Improv All Stars rocked my world. The woman who played Mimi on The Drew Carey Show was hillarious. She kept pronouncing "Coxaki" wrong, saying "****-a-sock-e" as hillarious as could be. Ther humor was hillarious, but their final act, involving 100 mouse traps and 2 men blindfolded brought down the house. I don't think I have ever laughed so hard in my entire life, ever. One man on either end of 100 mouse traps. One at the other. "Well, come over here and get in the shower." LMAO. You had to have been there. Anyway, they even came out for an Encore performance game of storytelling, and some more mouse traps were thrown at the one comedian. They were pretty vulgar, but it was hillarious.
I hope they come again next year. ;D :D

Glad you like the show Kevin. Most comedians do look at the resent news & whip something up. Amazing what they can come up with in a short time. We saw Howie Mandel here a fews yrs back & he was on top of the news here, local & across the countrie.
Would have loved to have seen the mouse trap routine. ;D

Damn. I'd have stayed and found their dressing room for autographs. :(
