Title: I need your Prayers (Updated)
Post by: Jim on April 27, 2005, 06:42 PM: I'm not the type to normally do this but if any of you out there do believe in some type of God, I could use your prayers tonight. My wife and I are expecting a second child this September. We just found out that we will have a little girl to join our son Tyler. We did get some discouraging news on the baby though, and my wife had to go through some more tests. We should find out tomorrow if the tests come back positive. I do not want to go into any details until we have all the results back, but would appreciate it if you could just keep us in your prayers tonight. Life has really thrown my family into some serious challenges over the past several years, and times like this just assure you that everything else in life is just a bonus. Thanx

The waiting is the worst part though.

Post by: Jim on April 28, 2005, 01:40 PM: Thank you so much for all your thoughts with my family over the last day. The power of prayer has apparently served my family well. My wifes additional tests came back negative today. The weight of the world feels like it was lifted off my shoulders. Initial tests had given doctors a concern that Down Syndrome may of been present. Thank God for giving us the strength to carry on. Remember that God never gives us anything we cant handle.

It's scary to hear about others who have had problems with their babies. You start to think about things going wrong with yours.

The brain scan was fine. They actually detected something with the heart.
