I really wasn't sure where to put this, but I couldn't let it go without bringing it up for those that missed it (I saw it on the news last night).

It's the carcass of a six-foot American alligator protruding from the mid-section of a 13-foot Burmese python after the snake apparently swallowed the alligator and burst resulting in the deaths of both animals.
Python Bursts After Trying to Eat Gator (http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20051005/ap_on_fe_st/gator_python;_ylt=Avzwir7F7iBvaUvoiUMRuuEDW7oF;_ylu=X3oDMTBiMW04NW9mBHNlYwMlJVRPUCUl)
Stuff like this is what makes animals so cool - man, that snake had balls to try to eat an alligator. Wow, just wow. :o

Well, Aligator does taste a lot like chicken. ::)

"Snakes . . . why did it have to be snakes?" :D

I'd have LOVED to see those two tangle before he went POP!

I was mowing the lawn over at my gf's house and uncovered a garden snake... Tiny thing. So I chased it around a while, got it out of the way of the mower and continued on. I had a good time taunting her that I did find one but not telling her where it was... She's now paniced and won't go out in her yard. Sadistic as it is I've been having fun with the knowledge.

I saw one at lunch the other day. I almost stepped on him by accident, but he moved around a little so I'd see him.
Later on, I decided to see if he was still hanging around (he was) so I snapped this camera phone picture of him.
I think he was running off to eat an aligator when I took this.

In Omaha, Nebraska this past week, the cops pulled a seven foot boa out of the sewer. The authorities were still looking for the owner, who may not get in trouble. I guess in Omaha, you can own up to an eight foot boa legally.
I think he was in the sewer looking for the alligators that live down there.

That's gnarly. Thanks Jeff! 8)
Has anyone here seen that series of pictures of the giant Anacando being cut open to reveal an entire grown man inside of it? It was somewhere in South America a few years back, and circulated heavily around the usual e-mail chains. Totally crazy ****...
I've got a copy of it somewhere. I'll see if I can dig it up.

Anacando! This a new species? :P
Is it this one Matt? South American camper was eaten by an anaconda (http://www.snopes.com/horrors/animals/anaconda.htm). It was a fake.

What's the world coming to when man's dinner starts killing man's best friend (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?f=/c/a/2005/10/08/BAGGRF4AR51.DTL&hw=deer+dog&sn=002&sc=886)?

That sucks -- those poor dogs. :( Though, as someone who has owned pugs for 25 years, I find it amusing that the pic shows a pug holding its ground. Those little suckers think they are rotweilers. My pugs would always ignore little dogs and go after the biggest, baddest dogs they could find. 8)
