Title: Jett: the best youngling
Post by: Carjup Bejewel on December 12, 2005, 08:46 PM
Do you think Jett would have been the Choosen One if he hadn't died and if Anakin wasn't part of the prophecy and if Palpatine wasn't so evil? It did say in the Episode III Visual Dictionary that he was one of the best Younglings and was gifted. They gave him his own section.

No. ::)  You can't have a Chosen One without the propecy. I don't see what Palpatine being evil has to do with it either... The only reason Jett got a page in the Visual Dictionary is because he was Lucas' son.

Exactly.  I guess if Anakin was not the chosen one and Palpatine was not too evil and I was born in the republic maybe I could have been the chosen one or Padme husband or Qui-Gon's apprentice. :P

That makes no difference with the movie and the real life. And remember what i said. If Anakin wasn't the Chosen One and part of the prophecy.

That doesn't change Jett at all. Just because Anakin isn't around, that doesn't all of a sudden make Jett the chosen one.

And Jett being Lucas' son has everything to do with getting a full page. I believe his daughter is in there as well.

You really should stop posting these pointless topics. ::)

Not to mention Zett Jukassa was mowed down by a relatively small group of Clones...  His relative status cmpared to other Younglings is impossible to determine since Jedi are everywhere and many are unknown (especially Younglings who have little EU revolving around them).  Zett just managed to survive and/or hide a while till the 501st got him eventually.  Dunno why he popped up like that even.

He's cool, but he's dead and got punked like allt he other Jedi.

You're far too old for that.

Maybe he was making a run for Organa's speeder?

I really don't understand the question that much, but basically, Zett was a plot device to show Organa what was really going on and get him out looking for Obi-Wan and Yoda.

I never thought about that. For all we know he could have been the last youngling left.

Well if George Lucas wantd his son in the movie so bad, then why did he make him get killed?

Ummm, maybe cause almost all the Jedi die and he was already established as a Jedi on AOTC? And as a kid he couldn't have really been anything else in that movie...

Wow, this went from a conversationabout nothing, to an argument about nothing.

Ask George yourself.

How?

Yeah I can't see what Jett would have been if not a Jedi...  A very background child on the street?  Meh...  Lucas wanted his kid to have a cameo in the movie, that is all, and lucky day for that child when he got adopted...  F'n little snot.

Basically, that's the way of it...  Don't keep the argument up unless you've got something really substantial to add please.
