Can any vintage experts shed any light?
:P

Pretty cool. I've never heard of an entire case of these being found, much less for sale.
Those are the vintage ROTJ (or, in this case, ERDJ [El Regreso del Jedi]) Argentina Stormtroopers. Very similar to the standard vintage stormie, but with a few sculpt differences (slightly smaller and different plastic). Card is different, too.
Neat find!
:)

Ah up!
Past auction from another seller.
VINTAGE "TOP TOYS" StaR WarS ROTJ STORMTROOPER CASE x48 (http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-TOP-TOYS-StaR-WarS-ROTJ-STORMTROOPER-CASE-x48_W0QQitemZ6035901465QQcategoryZ50277QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem)

I was wondering why I thought that auction pic looked familiar. So this new seller just pulls the pic from the previous auction, or do we have something more sinister afoot?
-
Yeah, when I saw both of them something did not look right Jason. The winner of the link I provided is a newbie from Germany and the link CHEWIE provided the seller is also from Germany but listed the item location from the US. Same pic and a copied description.
Also the seller has the listing as private bidders, just raises a red flag IMO.

The other auction is gone. Pulled?
Anyway, dispite the fact that these are non-domestic figures, this is like someting out of a dream.

They REALLY had 48 stormtroopers in a single case? REALLY? It does feel like a dream!
