My first custom since oral exams! I have just finished (well, for now) my Movie Poster Leia custom, which I'd been planning for a while but never got around to finishing till now. You can see her right here (http://geocities.com/findswoman/4inch/PosterLeia.html). (Just by way of warning: It's Geocities, so don't be surprised if it balks when more than five people try to view the page! If it gets really really bad, I'll post pictures here, too.)
I have definitely taken some artistic license with this one, which people may or may not like. For one thing, I left the necklace on from the POTF2 Ceremonial Leia, rather than sanding it off. It's just that sanding it off always seems to make the neck end up really rough and ugly, and besides, I don't think the necklace is out of character for this outfit at all. (It is, after all, an Organa heirloom.) For another thing, her pose is far from looking exactly like the poster. I at least hope to have acheived something similar, if not identical.
In any case, here she is (http://geocities.com/findswoman/4inch/PosterLeia.html), and I hope you all enjoy! Do let me know what you think.
Cheers,
the Findswoman

Findswoman, you are the coolest. It's been too long. :)
-
Most impressive!.
She totally looks like something Hasbro could have offered along the McQuarrie Stormtrooper.
-
Wow, She looks great! What a good combination of parts. Glad to see you back on the boards. Also, Congrats on finishing the exams!

I'm looking forward to seeing this custom... but unfortunately I'm getting a Geocities error page.
:P

This is the best version of the movie poster leia I've ever seen. I love the flowing robes you gave her. She is very classic Findswoman in look and detail. The repositioning of the leg would have been nice but this looks good too. I wonder why Hasbro never gave us this figure. You think they would have for those anniversary figures. Are you going to make a Luke? A good base for the Luke would be the POTF2 Buff version.

Excellent custom, I love it. Im with Errex on this one. I wouldnt have miinded seeing an entire line of McQuarrie figs. I think the necklace is fine, and as always the softgoods really make the figure.
I wouldnt mind seeing a Luke either. Excellent job as always.

Great softgoods work (as always)! I agree with the comments on the flowing robes - they look perfect.
I agree with Phruby, a corresponding Luke figure would be awesome.

I like I like alot she looks great

I agree with Errex, and very seemless.

Hurrah, a Finds woman Update, as always, great use of soft goods looks so close to the poster pic, but she isn't wearing a necklace in the poster, JK.
-
like everyone else said, great soft goods use & great use of the bunhead Leia. good to see you back again :)
-
Well I could finally view this figure, and had to save it and upload it too, just in case the Geocities is overloaded with people wanting to see this.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome! You really captured the feel of the movie poster here, I love it. I would have to buy this for sure if they made it. Great work and thanks for sharing it.

Thanks, everyone for the comments! It's great to see you all again, too. :)
A number of people have mentioned the idea of a poster Luke figure, and that would be a nice idea -- nor would it be very hard to do! That would be a great use for a POTF2 buff Luke from POTF2, as Phruby suggests... though isn't there a more recent Luke who actually is bare-chested? The VOTC one, is it?
Chewie, thanks for posting that extra picture in case the site decides to fritz again. (Though soon I will be moving to a new, better web provider, so that won't be an issue any more, God willing.) Here are the rest of the pictures from the site, just in case:

Cool custom, Findswoman, you are the master of soft goods and cloth work on figures. Is everything else except the shirt cloth?

Findswoman, this is a BEAUTIFUL figure! I love it!!! Wow!!!
Excellent job. The softgoods work brilliantly! A terrific combination of parts!! Just lovely.
