Title: Testing the Job Market
Post by: JesseVader08 on July 31, 2009, 01:21 AM
Today was a big day for me - I told my boss to take this job and shove it.  I know some people are fighting to find jobs, but I decided I was going to take a chance and get out of a very bad working environment.  Wish me luck!  :D

Whoa...Good luck there!  I've actually been wanting to do the same thing, but not with this economy.

That takes some guts.  Good luck.  But people are still getting jobs and hiring, so there are opps.

Good luck. My company is looking at more layoffs, so I'm considering getting out of there myself.

Not right now.  I've been scanning the job market in my industry, but not a whole lot of companies are hiring.  I go by a tried and true axion:  it's always easier to find a job when you have a job.

I've done it before but I don't know if I'd do it now with the way things are going.

Out of curiosity, what business are you in?

So very true.  I'm definitely going against my usual plan this time.

I'm a pharmacist.  Fortunately for me, it's an area that's actually growing still - I guess there will always be sick people, right?

I gotta say, that's quite the bold step in a recession. In any case, I wish you the best of luck in getting a job that better suits your needs. (And hopefully you get one in a timely manner as well)

Oh, yeah.  You're probably going to step right into a new job somewhere if you want.  Between local and chain pharmacies and hospitals, I'm sure you'll find something.

Yeah, I don't think Jesse should have a hard time finding a new place to peddle/deal drugs. Best of luck on the hunt Jesse.  :)

People will always want and need The Drugs!  You've got a job for life, Jesse!  Unless you go into the meth lab business, that is.

Been wanting to quit my job for a year or two... but the right thing hasn't come up, yet. I desperately need a new job, though.
