Title: Disney World Trip
Post by: Paul on January 17, 2005, 08:30 AM
My wife and I are taking our daughter to Disney World in the first week of February and I thought I'd get any tips/advice anybody here might have for good places to  go/eat while there.

Also, I do plan to hit the Star Wars shop while I'm there, so if you anybody is looking for something there, let me know, I'll try to hook you up.

My daughter is 3, thouroughly infatuated by anything Disney or Princess or Disney Princess so the bulk of our trip is going be very Kiddo intensive (which is cool with me)...

The sad part is that we'll be there during the Superbowl...I assume the Rooms at the Pop Culture Hotel have TVs....

Any Must See rides/exhibits, also is Star Tours the ride Scary by 3 year old girl standards?

The one thing that I would suggest is getting a Disney package deal.  When I went with my brother and sister we went to a local travel agent and ended up getting a package which inculded park hoppers for all the days we went, the hotel and the best part a certain amount of points that you could use on different things depending on what they cost.  We mostly used these for free meals at different restaurants, most of our meals ended up being close to $200-$300 dollars and with these points we didn't pay a thing for them (tips, drinks (non-achol) were also inculded).  We figure that those meals paid for the trip so we were happy that we had those.  You could also use these points to go horse back riding, have a family picture taken with Mickey, and other stuff.  So if they still have this program I would go with it.
My 2nd cousin who father is in to star wars I think went on Star Tours when she was three or four and like it.  My Niece through who is a year older doesn't seem to like it all to much.  I think it deepends on the kid.

If your family is carnivorous, make a reservation at Ohana's in the Polynesian Hotel, and request a window table during the fireworks show in the park. The restaurant is a 70's-era Hawiian themed establishment, brillantly over the top in its retro cool, and serves a variety of meats, sausages, and poultry brought to your table in waves. There's live music and activities for kids as well.
