It almost sounds like Diamond Comics has an exclusive? You think? I do not know why else they would be gushing like that? Unless it is just to remind everyone that they to sell Star Wars figures.
-
Hmmm...
Not sure what to make of it. They might just have some exclusive figure cases/mixes, or maybe it's just a PR saying that they will be shipping RotS figures that day to be in comic shops the next Wednesday (4/6)?
With our luck lately with Hasbro, it's going to be yet another Jedi Starfighter... ::)

Its probably some vehicle with a figure. I hope its nothing I want.
-
How about a Sith Infiltrator! Yeah yeah, I know it's unlikely...
-
AT-TE! AT-TE! AT-TE!
I'll pay $200 for one done right. Hear that Hasbro?
AT-TE! AT-TE! AT-TE!
:P

Cloud Car? No, has to be ROTS related. Maybe it will be the AT-TE?
-
See a cloud car i would buy. Oh well, it will probably be ROTS related.
-
I think it's either they will announce the will ship ROTS basic figures via their retail affiliates, or they have something up their sleeve.
I'm thinking they want to score like EE did.
ROTS Clone Trooper 4-pack troop builders set?

Well, this listing showed up on TRU/AMAZON.com:
Star Wars Action Figure Diorama Display (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0007KMUGK/qid=1112300839/br=1-6/ref=br_lf_t_6//104-2228382-5132750?v=glance&s=toys&n=977398)
Looks to be the Pride Systems display, being distributed by Diamond. I hope this isn't what they are hyping...
-
If that's the exclusive, it's lame. And what's with the high price?
-
:o
$30, yes. $80, no way!
-
That kind of sucks if it is true. It certainly is not what I would have expected from the gushy statement the other day. Plus it has nothing to do with "Revenge of the Sith" action figures like they hinted it would be. Although neither is WM's exclusive.
-
Well, it looks like this Diamond Comics Exclusive is pretty pathetic. Over at RS (http://www.rebelscum.com/article.asp?i=90942), they're claiming that the "exclusive" is the way the figures are case packed - 12 different figures per case, no short-packing.
But from what I've heard from the majority of forum reports, this is how most of the cases are packed. How is this exclusive? ???
The only report I've heard to contradict this is a report at Snowtroopers.ca (http://www.snowtroopers.ca/forum/index.php?action=display;board=4;threadid=6335;start=420#msg67349) that said the Darth Vader is short-packed. He said he found 4 Vaders (but didn't buy them all) in 32 cases! Why, of all characters, would they short-pack Vader? We'll have to see if this turns out to be true.
-
Both of the TRUs that I went to (Friday night and then the next morning) had PLENTY cases of the first wave of each collection - they were ALL 12 unique figures per case - in other words if you grabbed one of each collection case, you got figures #1 through #24.
I hardly see how this is an exclusive of ANY kind...
-
Well my Target store did not have any Darth Sidious. Wal-Mart had a gazzillion of him. Both had plenty of Darth Vader. Anyway I have to agree that Diamond did not have much of an exclusive going there. It certainly was not something to be gushing about.
