I picked up a couple of the light saber spoons this past weekend. Both were red, so I still need a green and a blue one. They're ok, though I preferred the pens to these. More colors would have been helpful. I can post pics if anyone wants.

Lightsaber spoons are a promo in Kellogg's cereals. Mine came out of frosted flakes (thanks Tony). Not sure what other cereals are available with them but I picked mine up at Meijer. All the major retailers will have them soon if not already.

I've seen Apple Jacks at Wal-Mart with the Spoon Offer. Mine is Red as well. I've also seen Apple Jacks witeh the Jedi Mind Trick info on it so there must be multiple versions of each cereal box. I saw a picture somewhere that had the Yellow Corn pops withe the Spoon Offer as well. Alot of food/cereal items out there right now...just don't know if I can eat enough to get all the proofs of purchase I need!

The trick isnt how much you can eat, but rather, where you can hide all of the food you buy, stricktly for the UPC's. ;)

The only cereal they had with ROTS preveiw was raisin bran with Chewbaca on the cover, so I opted out.

Is it just me or does this whole ROTS marketing push resemble something Krusty the Klown would put together as the days go on? I just have this vision of an assembly line at LFL with Vader dolls with knives sticking out of his neck, electrical arcs coming out of Palpatine dolls, and "Lucas Brand Dog Food...Now with More Entrails!" ::)

That being said, I still have horrible memories of eating two big boxes of Froot Loops to get that damned Stormtrooper Han figure back in 1995. Not to mention the bottomless grease pit of Lay's Potato Chips to get Cool Mint Obi-Wan in 1997. Needless to say, I have not eaten Froot Loops or Lay's Potato Chips since these promotions. The only thing worse was buying the GI Joe cereal when I was a kid so I could send away for the "Starduster" kitbashed figure.

I got a red lightsaber spoon in my big-ass box of Corn Pops. I've eaten half the box already, and I'm sick of this ****** cereal.
I hope the Raisin Bran Crunch cereal gets the spoons as well, because that stuff is good.

Found a few ROTS products at Wal-Mart yesterday. They had (and have had) the Darth Vader box of Cheezits for some time now. I still haven't bought one, just because I prefer the "Cheddar Jack" variety, which just has the normal boxes at this point. I see there might be a "Cheddar and More Cheddar" Twistems (or whatever they're called) Cheezits box coming with Chewbacca, and I'll probably pick that up. Otherwise, got a couple types of Keebler products with Star Wars packaging, as well as the send in for a cookie jar. I was hoping to get a lightsaber spoon, but the only cereal they had with that promotion was Corn Pops, and I'm not a fan. I'll hold out until they get new boxes of Frosted Flakes or Froot Loops or something (they still had the "Robots" versions). They did have some Pop Tarts with the Vader promotion, although not the special "Lava Explosion" pop tarts, just some normal flavors.
On a side note, has there been any more word of the Burger King promotions? I know we saw the layout and tenative plans a long time back, but haven't heard of anything further for awhile. We're usually not fast food eaters, but might have to be for May (or whenever this happens). I'm really hoping they decide to bring out another set of glasses, just like the vintage days. From what I've seen earlier, it looked like a rather large assortment of buddies, water squirters, etc.

I guess this is the best place to talk about this...
Is anyone else collection any of the cereal box items? I’d been hearing about Frosted Flakes having a lighsaber spoon in them, and finally managed to find them in stock yesterday.
Included in the box is a spoon build in two sections – the bottom being a lightsaber hilt, about 3” long, with an included battery, and light up LED – the top part being a plastic translucent spoon, that glows when you ignite the hilt. Pretty neat.
There are three to get, so it looks like I’ll be chomping through boxes of Frosted Flakes for a few weeks here.

Yeah, I've been picking up a little bit of the cereal stuff too. I picked up a box of the "official" Star Wars cereal, the Darth Vader box cover. There is also a Yoda, that I might pick up, but the Mrs. says I have to eat all of this box first ;). Not too bad, similar to Lucky Charms this time around. We also picked up a box of the Frosted Flakes with the saber spoon. I got the red one this time, and wouldn't mind getting the others. If we eat through enough of the cereal, hopefully I can get the other two, or at least the blue one. I see there are a number of promotions going on, I've seen Star Wars characters on a number of different Kellogg's cereal brands. There'd be lots of stuff to pick up for the "food packaging" completist this time around :).

The M-stuff is sucking me in too.
Burger King would be about all I ate if the promo was on in Indy next week.
Still need two UPC's for my cookie jar, so I'll be eating Rice Krispy squares for breakfast, possibly pop tarts as well.
I have two red saber spoons, so would like to get hold of the green and blue as well.
Don't get me started on M&M's and Skittles.

Have you found this promo on Canadian packaging? Or were you travelling to the good ol US of A again and getting packages this way?
I really want one of those cookie jars, but just assumed we wouldn't be lucky enough to get this promotion in Canuckia.

No Jesse, not up here. UPC's from the US, sadly. I'm not real hopeful for Canadian tie ins, though I expect there will be some small Frito Lay promotion and we've heard 7-11 will be running a promo up here as well. Kellogg's appears to be out and I've not seen any indication that BK is in either, though that would be nice.
Brian, you can go into most Burger King restaurants and just buy the toy without buying a meal. They're usually only around $1 each. I don't mind eating their food, though the kids meal burgers and chicken tenders are awful, but I do understand that consuming 40,000 calories at BK wouldn't be all that desirable ;)

I don't usually get into the whole "food promo" area of collecting, but when one of the gals at my office offered this to me for FREE (thanks to her husband the Grocery Manager), I couldn't refuse! :)

It's the Frito-Lay RotS/Vader display, fresh from the box! I just got done assembling it and it is really cool. You can kinda see the pictures from all parts of the saga (OT too!) in the back plate/sections.
Vader stands about 6ft high, the back sections are about 8ft high. Now I've just got to find a place for it in the SW Room! ;)

Nice display there Jeff, and for that price (free), you can't pass it up. I actually like a lot of those food displays, and the big theatre displays that you see once in awhile, the problem is finding the place to put something like that. You hate to have a nice big display like that, and just leave it packed up. I've been getting a little more into some of the food promos this time around....I've been collecting 1 each of the individual character bags of M&Ms (there are 72 total, but character repeats in there, so 16 "different" characters I guess), we picked up some Frosted Flakes anyways (got a red saber spoon as well), have a box of Star Wars cereal (Vader cover), UPCs collected from Keebler to send in for a cookie jar, and I've been tempted by a few others. I'm interested in the Burger King promo as well, if any more comes of that. The problem is, eating all of this food :).

I was finally able to find a box of Froot Loops (strangely enough the cereal that, as my grandmother would say, I "foundered" (e.g. sickened myself) on back when the Han Stormie offer was happening, and got a saber spoon for myself (red). I'm more than happy with it. :)
Also, as a heads-up, the local Burger King had a window cling at the drive thru window of Vader with some line about "Your focus determines your destiny" or something like that and the date 05.16.2005, so I guess we finally have our answer as to when this is all going to start with BK.

As far as saberspoons go, I grabbed two boxes of frosted flakes and got a green and a blue. The trick is to make sure you get them from seperate cases because each case just has one color.
I might be interested in taking somebody's extra red one off their hands. PM me if you're interested.

I haven't been following this thread at all, but is it just those 3 colors and that's it? No purple, or anything else? Should be easy enough to complete this set if there's only 3...

I'm going to Pennsylvania, 1/2 hour from Pittsburg and then Auburn NY a week later.
my wife is from PA, so we go visit family about 5 times a year, and I stock up on the Star Wars stuff. ;D

Only red spoons here so far as well, although I've only bought two boxes of the appropriate cereal (2 spoons). On a Kellogg's note, I received my Darth Vader cookie jar last week, and I have to say, its pretty cool...especially for $5.99 (and the POPs). I'm thinking about ordering the R2 one as well, and possible 3PO. They are pretty neat little collectibles.

Amazingly got my Vader Cookie Jar today. After it never showing up on the status page, then sending them a message last week about it, all in a little under 4 weeks.
Last week sent away for 3PO, now just need to send for R2 and I'll be set.

There's a switch on the bottom that turns on the sound.
It's just a bunch of whistles and beeps, but it is pretty loud.
