Title: Aayla Secura
Post by: aka DaBigKahuna on March 29, 2003, 08:05 PM
Brad, hope you don't mind if I use your format:

Appearance -
What can I say, sky blue was my favorite crayon as a kid and her skin tone is close.  She looks like one of the dancers that got away from Mr. Hutt.  In my opinion one of the best looking new figures released to date..
9/10

Accessory -
Standard accesories: light saber, force effect, really cool base!
9/10

Overall -
I did not rate the other areas as I have yet to find one to open.  I like this figure a lot.  9 points of articulation, it looks as she would drop a roundhouse kick on your jaw in a millisecond.  Rather short review, but if you find this figure I think it will speak for itself.  Let me know what you think.
 9/10

No problem, Matt, actually, I'm flattered.  :D

Good "carded" review, but I'm really looking forward to an "opened" review, for when/if you find another Aayla to open. My biggest concern is wether or not her legs are bowlegged like so many other female figures. I get really pissed when the female toys have their legs spread like a biker scout.  ::)

I have her opened up. Her legs are not that bad. She can be put into many poses. A rather good female figure.

I've got an open sample of Aayla Secura, and she can actually be posed kicking.  That was a pleasant surprise, IMO.

She was definitely worth the wait, from seeing her getting sculpted at Celebration 2 last May until making my purchase in March.

I finally got this figure from Kebco, and it's an awesome figure!  I actually opened it up (only because the card & bubble were in bad shape), and I have it out on display.  The detail of this figure is incredible!  She was well worth the wait.   ;D

That’s how I have my loose Aayla displayed – a pleasant surprise indeed!

I have a mint carded one too, but my “loose” Aayla is much more fun :)

Excellent photography, Chris! It’s great when people show their Star Wars figures in “larger than life” scale – it really picks out all the detail Hasbro are putting into the Saga releases.

Thanks for the compliment Rob.  I have more pictures of my collection here (http://www.chrisrhoads.com/collection.htm) if you want to view them.  I try to update my pictures on a regular basis.  Once I move sometime next year and have a house (I'm in a townhouse right now), I'll be taking pictures of EVERYTHING I own (which is a lot).

At Wizard World Chris and I got Amy Allen's autograph - too bad we didn't have a carded figure with us!  She was the coolest "chick" and took a ton of time to talk to us about life, etc.
