Title: Anakin Secret Ceremony
Post by: DSJ™ on March 30, 2003, 05:46 PM: Yep, I got this one too today. This figure does nothing for me. He only has 9 points of articulation & a blast effect for the Lightsaber. The only thing that caught my interest is his right hand. It's Robotic, sort of.
His hand is painted a blackish gold color to give the illusion that it is metal. Hasbro cheaped out on this one by just painting his hand a different color. ::)
Other than than, he doesn't do anything else.

Post by: Angry Ewok on March 30, 2003, 05:56 PM: I just noticed the sticker says, "SUPER POSEABLE!".... ::) That'll be a first. Thanks again for posting the image... I thought that the hand would actually be the robotic hand seen in the movie, but this doesn't look like it at all... and what's with his real hand? Is it open-fingered with the wrist bent back? Or am I seeing things? ???

It's a force pose with his hand. His thumb is behind the cloak & the figures are curled slightly. Dosen't look very good in the package.
Almost looks like a Kung Foo stance. ;D

Post by: dustrho on April 3, 2003, 05:54 PM: It's a decent figure, but when the hell did he even hold a lightsaber in AOTC? NEVER! Hasbro needs to make these figure a little bit more realistic, because collectors are the majority of who are buying these things... not kids.

Post by: Nicklab on May 8, 2003, 01:04 PM: It should certainly be mentioned that the articulation is pretty good on this Anakin. I've got one loose, and it doesn't fail to impress.

ARTICULATION
-2 x ball jointed shoulders (really 4 points right here. In my book, one ball joint equals 2 normal joints, since it aids the arm in moving horzontally and vertically)
-2 mid-arm swivel joints
-neck
-waist
-2 x legs
-2 x ankles (which twist around and extend to "tippy toes". again, a more versatile joint in the same school of thought as the ball joint)

Add on top of that, that this is one of the more neutrally posed Anakins, sans action features, and I'm really happy with this one.

Uhm...when he battled Dooku...and he had two at one point. :)

I actually am looking forward to this particular figure and hope that I can find it. It's good to know that it has all that articulation but I guess when I actually have it in my hands, I'll see if my high hopes for this figure are grounded.

I meant when did he hold a lightsaber with his robotic hand? I know he held two sabers at one time. Geesh! ::)
