Think they'll finally make this thing for the EP3 line? I'm pretty sure they show up in the Kashyyyk battle.

How much would you pay for one?  I'd easily pay $60 if it was somwhat close to scale.

Excellent Topic.  I agree, why would I want to buy inferior versions of these figures in the future?

They really should re-release these versions again somewhere down the road (and I think they will but don't want to say so just yet) on regular cardbacks.

What could they do though?

- They could always re-release Han, Leia, Luke, Obi Wan and Lando with different head sculpts with new facial expressions

- Vader could have a removable helmet

- Luke, Obi Wan, Leia could be altered to not have soft goods

If they change the scale, I'm out.  I'll get rid of all my prequel stuff too and just collect OT stuff.  They're not going to do something that risky though, it would be a hot day on Hoth before they'd try to pull something that outlandish.

If they also charge $12.00 (which is whacky to even consider they would do something THAT stupid) for basic figures, I'm out too.  I'm guessing we might see them for $5.00 still; as weren't there supposed to be a price hike on the OTC stuff?  They're still $5.00.  Most of that fancy packaging looks to just be a cardboard insert anyway.  Nothing to get too ancy over.

I agree with the statement though that we might see some high end VOTC styled collector oriented figures in the $12.00 range somewhere down the road, but not with the initial EP3 stuff.

NO WAY IN HELL.  $5 is the perfect price for us and the retailers.

I like them.  But I do wish that they were easier to interchange, it's making customizing a little tougher for me.

Usually they end up as custom fodder.

Do you not want that Falumpaset OCB?

I'm clinging to the theory that they aren't showing their full hand in fear of people not paying the 100% markup currently when they know they can have them for less in a few months/year

That's what I'm thinking, Scott. Hopefully its true...I'm pretty confident that it is. I mean, look at Boba 300th...

Ah!  I think you all are right on the money on this.  Good thinking.

I doubt they will re-release any of these until 2006-7, but I do think they will.

Very fair.  If someone really wants to stay spoiler free, I feel they should stay away from ANYTHING that says EP3 on it.

Wow, that really is a bunch of bull____!

Maybe they'll have a change of heart somewhere down the road.  Or at least release them online as 4-pks, I'd pay $30 for a 4-pk of the VOTC Stormtroopers, I am sure they could afford to sell them for that!

Why in the heck is every TRU in the world getting in a ton of OTC vehicles (Vader's TIE, X-Wing, TIE Fighter) but is seems like none of them are getting in the basic figures?

Good topic:

Basic Figures

Too much rehashes, but some nice new waves are on the horizon thank GOD for that!  I am really stoked about the VOTC Stormtrooper, I am praying that they will re-release it in a less expensive and easier to acquire way, and am pleased that it looks like it will blend in well with the CT version.  I also wanted to see more vehicles/playsets.  Oh damn.  But I do like the new Y-wing look, especially since I do have the POTJ one.

Unleashed

I'm with you, these take up so much space!  I do like them a lot more than the 12" line though.

Galactic Heroes

I don't collect them, but they are definitely fun looking.

Misc. Thoughts

I love the EP3 title!  I want to see some EP3 figures!  No action features damnit. >:(

Check out this Stormtrooper/Clonetrooper custom.  This would be sweet if it is what the EP3 Clonetrooper figures look like.

Man, Jedidefender is becoming much more exciting than other fan sites recently for news and updates.  I really like this place and the no b!tching at each other in these forums as compared to some other sites.

I really like the answers that were posted, especially the prequel figures, those will be a great addition to the line.  And at least they are thinking about a modular Death Star set or so it seems.

What sucks though is the return of the action figures.  YUCK!

*edit* I meant action features, not figures.  Damn it's been a long day at work.
