Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Happy Valentine's Day!...

For once I can say....

Happy Valentine's Day!

 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Just got home from a night out with the girlfriend.  It was our first Valentine's Day together, and dinner was great.  The restaurant was awesome, and we had a great evening.  So I think maybe I don't hate Valentine's Day after all.

Considering this happened very close to where a lot of my family lives, this story made me sick.  What the hell did this guy need with an assault rifle?

Got Aurra Sing.  Haven't seen the others yet, but I'm not in that much of a hurry.

You lucky bastard!

Nice score though.  At least we'll have one in the JD family now...   :P

What am I, chopped liver?

Revenge of the Sith / Re: Hasbro Article, CNN/Money

I think at some point Lucas will rerelease all the films again.  Probably at a time when he thinks the franchise has died down a bit.  That or they will whip up an animated Star Wars movie.

Bottom line is that there is too much money to be had with this franchise.  It's going to continue in some way shape or form.  Otherwise I doubt Hasbro would stay on until 2018.

Most likely, there's going to be a complete Boxed Set released on DVD.  I would say in 2007 at the earliest.  That may be prefaced by a theatrical release of all 6 movies.

Hmmm, I wonder if James Earl Jones might be on hand to autograph one of these bad boys at C3?  Hmmmm.

I made a freak find yesterday.  Found some ML 6 of all things, including brown Cable and the reissue of maskless Wolverine.  I actually left a Deadpool behind.

Wow, so many images all leaking so soon.   :)

Looking at the GH pictures, I am more inclined to believe that the "loose" figures are all painted hard-copys.  I think that is why they look so nice.

If you look at those loose GH images, they're virtually identical to the images that are on the cardbacks, only larger.  These look like they're some sort of official images that have leaked out.

WOOT!  Met up with a buddy of mine yesterday and got my Super Bowl XXXIX Exclusive Fred Taylor and Byron Leftwich. NICE!  Too bad the Taylor is a Jamal Lewis repaint, and Leftwich is a Culpepper 2 repaint.

A couple pics have shown up online now, detailing the "Sentinel" and "Legendary Riders" series, or 10 and 11, however you like to call them.  Some are just drawings at this point, and the pictures aren't the largest, but there's at least a clue to what we're expecting.  I'm looking forward to the Sentinel Series, they look nice.  Too bad they had to hit during all of this ROTS madness this year :).

More images of this wave are going to be available in the new issue of ToyFare.  I saw Angel and the Sentinel, and they looked pretty good.

I think the Polis Massan's may be a sort of inside joke between Lucas and Spielberg.  I think they were designed as some sort of tribute to the greys or aliens from Clone Encouters Of The Third Kind.

So I'm pretty sure there's gonna be an alternate Boba in the mix at least.

Fett #1

Fett #2

But I don't know which is the regular and which is the chase version...  ;)

Jeff

ps.  was that a positive enough contribution, J-MAC?   ::)

From speaking to the Gentle Giant people in Chicago, they said that the Boba Fett that is just a sized down version of the original mini-bust may not be part of the line.  It might have only been a display piece, and nothing more.
