I have gone to Kane in previous years. It is a decent place to pick stuff up at, but you will run into those vendors who are overpriced. I have been able to pick up some of that obscure stuff that I have been looking for at a fair price. Plus you get those guys that the more you buy the more the will haggle with the prices.

I am still attempting to determine if I am going to go again this year. I have a friend that lives in DeKalb and he got me started going to it in April & October shows.

Thank you steve for the hook up on Unmasked wolverine and the Mark Mulder - which lead to the Nolan Ryan Cooperstown 3 figures as well.

I just stopped at the TRU in Minnetonka MN and I grabbed the Mark Mulder (MLB 14), Nolan Ryan in Angels (Cooperstown 3), & Nolan Ryan in Astors (Cooperstown 3). It was a GLORIOUS DAY, only way it could have been better was to find the Mulder Variant I need as well.

yes this piece is a little gruesome, but since I have all the other Darth Vader busts I had to order one.

I will just keep it up and out of sight so my son can't see it till he is older/taller.

The Bullpen / Marvel Legends

I luck out as I have a co-worker whose husband is a big FF and Avengers nut. So he and I sell the spare parts or figures back and forth. He is selling me all the spare parts to Onslaught and Mojo of the openers for those lines, and he is getting all the pieces for Modoc and Giant Man from me. It is a great deal as we don't have a bunch of figures we don't collect sitting around and we still get the BUILD A FIGURE we want.

All this new data from Toy Fair basically contridicts the data on Marvel Legends release in ToyFare 100.

Sill trying to find a White Sasquatch, Maskless Wolverine and Bald Bishop.

Not that I don't like the build a figure concept, but my wife is going to kill me for having all these other figures around that I don't give a crap about so I can build the larger figure. The only redeaming thing is that I don't have to go after variants to get these sets put together (THAT WE KNOW OF YET!!!) After all White Sasquatch isn't even on the packaging but is a variant. God knows that the bastards at Toy Biz/Hasbro would screw me over like that.

Kubricks / Series 5
« on: January 20, 2006, 03:53 PM »
After one of our monthly meetings here in MN I got an itch for collecting some Kubrick figures (Thanks a lot Jeff & JediJaybird). I am looking to get the follow. They do not need to be in package, or on a card. This is strickly a loose collection.

Emperor Palpatine
Obi-Wan Kenobi (non ghost)
Darth Vader
Boba Fett

Thanks

Scott - Which Torii Hunter do you have?

I am looking to put together a Home Town set of the MN players. Does anyone know where I can pick up a Garnett/Wallace 2 pack here still?

The piece looks awesome DP. I just have a couple questions...

How much time did it take to build?
Roughly what did it cost to make?
How much do I have to spend to have you make one for me?

The Bullpen / Marvel Legends

The Target store I work at got in a case of the ML 11 series yesterday and I got to work a couple hours early (since I didn't want to fight trafic leaving one job to go home, to fight it again to go to 2nd job). And low and behold the Scarlet Witch was sitting on the peg hook. I nabbed her so now I have all the mutants except the Toad figure of the Marvel Legends.

Can't wait for Series 12 to start hitting the shelves.

Has the Movie Maniac line died?

I haven't seen or heard of anything new since the release of the "New" Texas Chainsaw/Robocop/Hicks and that was 2004. Usually they release a line a year and 2005 didn't have one.

Personally I thought that the last 2 runs have sucked for the most part. They have been trying too hard to get a decent set. They either are ignoring, or can't aquire the necessary licence's need to do some of the greats that people want.
