It was a strange assortment...I still would've wished that I would've received one or the other for the Rebel Trooper or the R4-M9 instead of the extra Luke but I'll take the assortment as is (especially with the Veers). Thing is I took a gamble buying a box of 12 online, and I guess I did alright. I wish I didn't have to spend the extra money to complete the regular set.

My thinking was that there was 1 R4-M9 and 1 Rebel Trooper per box of 12, and the Tarkins/Veers were found in the Tie Fighter boxes (which were the first ones I tried) and the Wedges were found in the X-Wing Luke boxes. I knew the chances of getting a chase was slim in the first place....

Hiya guys,
I received my box of 12 from BBTS. Here are the results I promised:

                  From Top Of The Box
RA-7                                      Luke X-Wing                 Luke X-WIng
Death Star Trooper               Luke X-Wing                 Luke X-Wing
Death Star Trooper               Tie Fighter Pilot             Tie Fighter Pilot
Tie Fighter Pilot                    Tie Fighter Pilot             Luke X-Wing

Ok, this assortment doesn't look great and I was disappointed at first when I saw that the majority of my box were Luke X-Wings (5) and Tie Fighter Pilots (4). On top of that, my box of 12 did not include the Rebel Trooper or R4-M9 (which I'll have to track down eventually).

However, if you look at the assortment carefully--see the Death Star Trooper underneath RA-7. Well, in that package I pulled a General Veers (Woooo!!) ;D. So all in all, not a bad box...a great pull although my final results are like this:
5 Luke X-Wing
4 Tie Fighter Pilots
1 RA-7
1 Death Star Trooper
1 General Veers :)
0 Rebel Fleet Trooper
0 R4-M9

Hope this helps in case any of you happen to see a similar assortment somewhere!! Unfortunately, I'll probably be tracking down the two I'm missing at Newbury Comics. The reason why I bought the case in the first place is that they charge $17.99 for each individual sealed Star Wars Kubrick at that place. But on the bright side, I pulled my first ever chase!!! (and it was the one I wanted in this set...)

Congrats everybody on your pick-ups!!! :)

While everybody is completing their sets, I received an e-mail from BBTS that my order has arrived and is being processed for delivery. I'm crossing my fingers for my first ever chase figure...I've been collecting all kinds of Kubricks over the year sand got back into Star Wars a few months back by completing SW Kubrick regular sets of 3,4, & 5.

I can't wait until the box comes in though. It looks like a great set from the pictures that some of you have posted. I'll probably pick up an extra Rebel Fleet Trooper at my Newbury Comics when they come in on July 19th. It's too bad I got into collecting Star Wars Kubricks late in the game. I never really checked prices to buy a boxes of these and I have always stayed far away from ebay (I don't even have an account) due to horror stories from a couple of my buddies (especially the paypal scams).

The local place around here is very expensive for a single Star Wars Kubrick. Could you imagine buying a set of 6 for $17.99 per figure?!? In my case, buying a box of 12 is a little better than buying from that place...Everything else they sell (Kubrick/Bearbrick-wise) is very reasonable and I even wound up with some good deals on other Kubricks that I collect. The mark-up on all their Star Wars stuff made me think twice this time around...If the experience is good, then I can't wait for series 7. I'll keep you guys posted how I did on the box of 12. keep your fingers crossed for me...

Anybody know when that movie "Meg" is hitting theaters? It's based on the bestselling book about a meglodon...

as much as i love that 400% vader, i think at the price it's out of my price range. come to think of it, i haven't collected any of the 400% because of that reason. i am heavily anticipating series 7 though. it's my favorite set so far and i'm hoping that the set looks like the one morgbug posted (except have 3 gammorean guards and 2 royal guards). the speeder bike/biker scout combo looks pretty sweet too...

There's a price on the Vader already? How much???
I can't wait for that piece. The 400% line is my favorite and I like when they do actual characters over the traditional Be@rbrick pieces...

No price on that Vader yet  :-\. I'm guessing that it's going to be the same price as the 400% Luke & Han Stormtrooper (supposedly same distributor) which is still out of my price range anyways (which is why I haven't collected any of the 400% figs)...

I've got alot of catching up to do as far as Star Wars Kubricks. I only have regular sets of 3, 4, & 5 complete with series 6 on it's way. That leaves me with Series 1 & 2, plus the chase figures and boxed sets...

I ordered a box of 12 from BBTS a little while back...While, I'm anxiously awaiting to receive my order, I'll be honest I'm doubtful that I'll even have a chance to get my first chase. it seems like Medicom is making things easier to find the correct boxes with the chases as previously reported. I'm still unsure if I should buy of the chase figs off e-bay now regardless if i'm getting a box in.

thank you for your help John!! :)

that would've been $70 definately wasted (i don't know if i actually would've gone ahead and purchased it though) and it was the inner portion that they were selling w/o the original box which still would've been crazy at that price. ...thanks again !!

Power of the Force 2 / Re: The Beginning of POTF2
« on: July 4, 2006, 02:30 PM »
I just involved in collecting POTF2 figures early in the line. I was never into toy collecting  and I had just graduated high school earlier in the year. Well, one day in between day and night classes back in college, one of my college friends asked if I wanted to stop by a few stores at the mall.  With this being my first semester in school and a very long time between classes, I figured what the hell "let's go!!"

Well I got dragged into store after store, K-Mart, Caldor, Ames, K-B Toys, etc while my friend was looking for certain figs. The line he collected was...you guessed it, the POTF2 line. I thought it was pointless at first although it was nice seeing figures from a movie I had dearly loved since I was a kid. After a few hours of checking out toy departments and toy stores (we went to a few Toys R Us's in the area), he must've bought a hundred dollars worth of stuff. As far as myself, I didn't wind up buying anything although I was impressed with this incarnation of Kenner's recharged toy line. My college bud hooked me up with my first figure free of charge that night. He had an extra Red Card Darth Vader that he gave me to get my collection going when we got back to the college. That Darth Vader figure right there ,at that moment, fueled my toy collecting habit.

After that toy run, I winded up going every Wednesday night looking for Star Wars figures w/ him until we both graduated a few years later. When he moved to Arizona after college to take a job offer, I still collected SW stuff until Episode 1 came out. I still have all of my Star Wars stuff put away in my folks attic for the time being. I haven't gotten back into collecting Star Wars until Medicom released their own line of Star Wars Kubricks....I've been hooked ever since...

I preordered a set of Jack Sparrow Kubrick & Aztec Coin Be@rbrick plus Superman Kubrick & Man of Steal BE@RBRICK from RoBBy.jp. Too cool to pass up  ;D

I can't wait until both of those sets are released. I've been anticipating these sets since they were announced. I'm gonna wait though on ordering anything and see if Gentle Giant will sell these on their site similar to the Willy Wonka set...
