I pity anyone who would keep this toy entombed.

Don't like the red- not bright enough, and that textured look is lame. At least no carved foam muscles though so I suppose it could be worse.

I picked up a couple of Corgi's new 1/43 Batmobiles- they're wicked. All have some little gimmick, reminiscent of older diecast toys and the larger scale gives them some heft… rubber tires too.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: A question about Paypal & Visa
« on: April 16, 2005, 11:43 AM »

Thanks for your help. Unfortunately the deal didn’t materialize, it was for a 70’s chogokin, the initial pictures made it look as if it was in tip-top condition, after requesting closer shots and a better descriptions it turned out to be not such a hot deal… probably fair but I’d rather overspend on a nice item than settle for something I’d want to upgrade later. I’ll heed your advice and use the c.c. should this scenario repeat itself, thanks again.

There’s a chap from Asia who’s put some toys for sale at another site I frequent. He’s got a couple of nice little items I want to purchase… my hesitation lies in that he’s a fairly new member, and not having dealt with him before I’m paranoid about sending him paypal. My question is: should I just use paypal credit, or should I use my credit card through paypal? Which is the better way to go in case the goods don’t materialize and I’m left wanting a refund? I hope one of you fine gents can guide me on the wise choice, thanks!

Just placed my order with HLJ, I don’t want to risk missing out on this one (still bugs me that I didn’t act fast on the Rocketeer)- Medicom production runs aren’t enormous and this one will sell like hotcakes… it’s a thing of beauty.

Thanks for the update. From reading other buyers reactions, it appears some CTVT figures have some quality issues (though apparently they are improving) compared to the originals. I took a gander at the mad monsters at the comic shop, and they looked awful… but the happy days were o.k. so that’s why I was wondering about these, maybe I’ll try to assemble a set of original loose ones, now that they’ve dropped in price somewhat. The upcoming series look great though; Maya is surreal- kinda looks like a Gerry Anderson puppet version of the actress.

A good little article on cartooning:

Ps. Notice the brief mention of Wally Wood, undoubtedly the greatest comic artist ever!

Not really, not after what they did with LXG and From Hell. Hopefully they won’t ever bastardize Miracleman or The Watchmen.

I’m just taking a guess, but might it have been a Burne Hogarth book?

I’m wondering- did you get the re-release Space 1999 Megos yet? If you have, how do they compare to the originals, are they pretty close… or what? Thanks for any informative  in-formation!

Well my CC has been charged & there on there way. As soon as I receive them I'll have pic's.  ;)

Thanks! I look forward to reading your observations.

Here’s the latest addition to my die-cast collection-
