I'm not saying you would always be directly working hand in hand, but just being on the same pathetic level as that guy is degrading.

I'm not sure what "level" you are putting him on that is "pathetic"...  :-\

Would that "pathetic level" be Star Wars Fansite Forum Moderator or Uber-Post-Padder at a Star Wars Fansite?  Or neither?  At least there is a tiny bit of respect for most Fansite Forum Moderators, unlike Uber-Post-Padders at Fansites.   Those Uber-Post-Padders at Scum are pretty pathetic IMHO.

Revenge of the Sith / Re: 500th commemorative figure... Vader?
« on: August 31, 2004, 12:03 PM »
I wish I had more faith, but if indeed the speculation is true and Hasbro is planning on offering up a 500th Vader, well, Hasbro's repack-o-mania leads me to believe that some "new" variation of this is what we'll get:

Take the old Complete Galaxy Chamber, toss in a "new" kit bashed Vader (vOTC body with Rem Helmet Head maybe?) and there's your 500th "special".

Hasbro has given me NO reason lately to expect something new that isn't tied directly to Ep3, so until I see otherwise, I'm gonna have to go ahead and expect the worst from them...  :-\

Well, I'm out for the night...

but, I've sent my picks out to both Brian (mosnab) and Scott (OCB) so that either of them can pick for me if the draft gets back to me before I get home from stuffing my face with fried foods.

:)

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Kevin Smith working on "Clerks" sequel
« on: August 30, 2004, 04:07 PM »
I wouldn't put much stock in it. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back was supposed to be the last "View Askew" flick.

That's true, but as Jared pointed out, his "Jersey Girl" flop may have changed his mind I guess.

From the story:
It's funny, it's very raw, insanely foul-mouthed. In many ways it's the antithesis of 'Jersey Girl,"' Smith said, referring to his recent PG-13 comedy with Ben Affleck as the widowed father of a little girl.

Sounds like he's already trying to distance it from Jersey Girl...

Jason, I think Jeff here's talking **** to you.  I know he ain't sayin' that to me, 'cause I've been a die hard Dodgers and Angels fan for longer than most of you guys have been alive!  Especially those two Minnesota punk asses.

Granted, I'm slightly more vocal when we're winning, but that should be a given...   ;)

Hey!

Don't go around mis-interpreting my slams !

That slight was not intended for Jason, rather it was intended as a shot at your fair weather hockey fans who decided to show up at games only after you made it to the Stanley Cup Finals and then disappeared again one season later.

Quite tryin to stir up trouble or I'll have you banned!

The other big deal at the MN State Fair is deep fried Cheese Curds...

They are NOT on a stick

Mmmm... I'm headed to the MN State Fair tonight with a list of junk food to chow down:

Mini-Donuts
Pork Chop on a Stick
Pizza on a Stick
Cheese Curds
French Fries
Dairy Building Chocolate Malt

So, if I'm not here tomorrow, I probably had a heart attack.  :-X

Some people are just hesitant to give away their control over picking I guess.

It would be nice to keep it moving, especially since scheduling a mass draft night where we can all be here doesn't seem like it's going to work, but some just don't want to do that.

OK, we'll try one last time:

EVERYONE, please pick the top three nights that you are available this week for a massive on-line sit down draft either here on in the JD Chat room.

I'll compile the results and see if a draft night will work or if we're in trouble getting this thing done over the next 10 days...

My top three:
1.  Wed, Sept 1st
2.  Thurs, Sept 2nd
2.  Friday, Sept 3rd

I'll be out tonight (headed to the MN State Fair), so if any of you will be around tonight, please let me know and I will GLADLY e-mail you a few picks so that I don't hold things up tonight with my 7th and 8th round picks.

Thanks,
Jeff

It's official.

Kevin in the biggest FF Homer I have ever met.

I kinda feel bad for him that someone grabbed Shockey, but Kevin I guess you can still pick up Dayne & Gramatica if the other guys leave them alone... who is the Giants back-up TE?

thanks to the guy who dumped him in Fantasy Baseball, Dressel thanks you too

 :-[

If I had kept him on my Fantasy Team, he would have continued to struggle (notice how Stewart went on the DL this year, the curse of Jeff's Team).

I did it for the good of the Twins, sacrificing myself in the process... you did notice he was 3-5 when I dropped him?  Now he's CY Young material.

I give and I give for my team... it's not like I just jump on the bandwagon of whichever hometown team is the hottest like some folks from tropiCAL locations.   ::)
