Feedback / Dain_Bramage's feedback
« on: June 12, 2003, 12:13 AM »
Dain hooked me up with a buddy to get the Yellow DD.  Our second trade, but the first since I've been over here.  Completely cool transaction.  Packing, communication, etc all first rate.

Let it go people.  You know who I'm talking to in general.

If you like it here, cool, excellent, super.  You don't like what goes on at RS, stop going there. ::)

You don't see the problem with comparing moderators to people that killed 6 million Jews, get your head checked.  That or simply grow up. >:(  It is not, nor will it ever be a valid comparison.

You are making it difficult here and frankly, IMNSHO are doing your best to drag this place down too and that pi__es me off.  I rather like the lack of juvenile behaviour over here.

To Chris and the admins here, keep up the good work.  If this post is not suitable, please feel free to delete it.  I won't be bothered in the least.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Do You Have Pet's?
« on: June 12, 2003, 12:01 AM »
Scott, around 3 the cat and the child reach a state of detente.  Cat is cautious, child marginally interested in petting rather than pure harassment.

1 cat, name is Kmir.  We seem to be feeding a stray now too, so maybe 2 soon. ::)

Yep, happy to have mr. ship seller amarsella over here.  Not sure if you recall, but I bought a fair bit of stuff from you last year.  Great deals and a big help to me. Happy to have you here too.

I'm cursed by Hobgoblin.  Everywhere I go, there he is.  It's like he's stalking me.  Dude, leave me alone, let someone else buy you. I must have seen six in the past week.

New shipments of spidey classics 2 around here still.  Wish they'd bring in some more of #1 so I could get a black spidey.  No series 5 with cardboard, so no Morbius for me yet.

Get rid of some of those accursed power rangers and damned yugioh toys and there might be room for them. >:(

JD Sports Forum! / Re: The NBA Playoffs
« on: June 11, 2003, 11:50 PM »
I was really hoping for a Dallas vs. Detroit final once the Lakers got bounced, but my losing streak continued and now we're stuck with the Nets and (YAWN) Spurs.  So all I've got to say now is GO NETS!!!  I can't stand the Spurs.  With the occasional exception of Tony Parker, this has got to be the most boring team in NBA history, with the most boring superstar in the history of sports - Tim Duncan.  So I don't want to see them win it since they've got no personality.

ROFLMAO there buddy.  You just finished cheering for one of the two MOST boring teams to ever reach an NHL final and now you complain about this?  Bwah ahahahahaha.   Sorry dude, you deserve a boring final for making us put up with the quackers.  Didn't you know, defense wins championships ;)

Other Collectibles / Re: New Unleashed Packaging
« on: June 11, 2003, 11:19 PM »
I love the new packaging too. This is the kind of thing that really makes it nice being a carded collector. However, that Boba may be the first one I buy 2 of as that just screams to be displayed opened.

The power of the Dark side is strong, yes it is.  I sense weakness in you. ;D

That packaging is amazing but I open my unleashed.  One of each will be just fine.  Maybe.  Probably.

Saga '02-'04 / Re: Best Website to buy figs?
« on: June 11, 2003, 12:14 AM »
I've ordered from a lot over the past couple of years.  I probably should give Kebco a shot, but there's a store in Canada with a one of every figure schtick as well, so avoiding customs holds some appeal for me.

Being a Canadian I rank them on different things.  Nothing irks me more than padding shipping and I've had it happen a few times from this list.  That said, shipping to the US according to their websites is at times free, and always cheaper than up north, eh?

I've had success with yestertoys, EE and newforcecomics.com.  The latter is my current retailer of choice as I've been primarily ordering cases and singles/openers of items.  Probably the most appealing thing is Rick's communication and totally fair (read you pay what it costs him/them) shipping.  That's a huge plus for me.  One of the other retailers I ordered a Vaders Tie from charged me shipping PLUS $12 handling :o ::) >:(  That was the last time I ordered there.  Still a good company if you're in the US and great selection.

Legendsactionfigures.com in Canada is a pretty good site too.  Not sure about the prices and how they work out for Americans though.

Health care is great?  When was the last time you guys were in an ER?  Yeah, it's free (minus tray fees, etc) but not great.  Waiting times for MRI's down south are long at 5 days.  Up here they are short at 6 months. :o

Manitoba is 7% and 7% so we got you easterners beat by 1% ::)  'Course, when Dale rolls in he has only one at 7% so he's got us all beat.  Damn Alberta.

All the posts made already are excellent advise.I dont have much more to add except to echo the thoughts on patience. That is the key to Ebay.Keep your eyes peeled and I'm sure you will find a nice lot that you feel comfortable paying for in your range. If I run across anything I'll be sure to let you know..expecially if they are dealing with ewoks.

actually that's the funny thing about this.  I looked at the list and crossed off Ewoks as being necessary almost immediately.  That'll save me some money right there. ;)

Unsolicited hugs or kisses from my wife or daughter.  The weight of the world simply melts away.  Nothing better than being in a huge hurry in the morning, racing out the door and having your kid yell Daddy, Hug! ;D

Trading toys.  And not getting ripped doing it.  Star Wars boards rock compared to Spawn.com.  Good guys there too, but not too many willing to do you favors for nada.  Over here they are the rule rather than the exception.  So thanks.

Having the wife and kid stay at her mothers on a Friday night.  Break out the beer, Scotch (or rusty nail), crank up some tunes and fire up the JD chat.  Lots of fun with the regs like Jugdish, CC, bulky blocky and a couple of Minnesota guys.

Collecting insects for the fun of it, rather than work.  Yeah, it's weird, but I spend so much of my time worrying about pests, the fascination that initially drew me in is often missing.  I spent 6 hours today "hunting" dragonflies with a former professor.  Great day, great fun and great company.

Golf.  Or flog if you prefer.  Golfing with friends, tipping a few ales and having a good round.  Or a bad one.  A bad day at the golf course still beats a good day at the office.

Opening McFarlane toys.  The smell is so incredibly pungent it's amazing.  Opening SW toys is cool too, but the associated smell is weak in comparison.

Not driving to work on weekends.  Two hours commuting a day for 120 miles is really quite annoying.

Finding a great BIN on ebay.  Or sniping just right to win by $0.01 ;D

Now I need to get hold of the Predator from the two pack.

Are you only interested in the Predator? If so, perhaps we could come to an arrangement?  ;)

Sorry there Mr.  Yes, only the Pred.  Drop me a PM and we can discuss.  Whoo-hoo.  Sorry I missed this earlier.

Dale, checked again today and no joy.  Will check another likely Thursday.

The Bullpen / Re: Marvel Legends
« on: June 10, 2003, 10:36 PM »
I think Scott bought some of the Marvel ones.  I like some of the spidey stuff, but a line has to be drawn somewhere, y'know? ;)

And no, Batman is DC, the vastly inferior line ;)

Dimetrodon.  I stole the list that OCB was updating over at RS.  I'm sure somewhere in those 9 or 10 pages there's a link to the information regarding series V.  Anything could change, but for the time being, I'll take Scott's word for it.

Rookies fire up late September, full training camp early October.  So by the time Canadians can buy another Walmart star wars figure, hockey should have begun anew.
