Original Trilogy Collection / Re: Naboo Wave

Is this the first picture of Rabe?  Nice to see that she'll come in the Red/Yellow outfit with Naboo pistol and not the other outfit.

Just completed my end of the deal with Nick.  Fast to get payment out the door and a very smooth deal overall...

I hope that Nick, Zod, and HoloE all get their picks in so Dressel can pick again before work tomorrow...

I feel like such an ass for messing up... I was looking at my notes trying to figure out how Ed George was still left and looked at the list like 3 times and didn't see his name  :-\

Musta been the wife painting her toenails in nothing but a towel her pajamas that distracted me ;)

Um...

A bunch of us have used the "draft buddy" system a few times and none of us were upset with the results.   :-\

Consider it, won't you DR?  Pretty Please?  With sugar on top?

It'd speed things along soooooo much faster without the 12 hour breaks between your picks.

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Kevin Smith working on "Clerks" sequel
« on: August 31, 2004, 04:00 PM »
I thought Slacker was much better than Clerks. Smith... didn't he do that Matt Damon movie?

I hope that you don't mean this:

 :P

Seriously though, hasn't Smith stated publically that "Slacker" was the reason he made "Clerks"?
Lemme see if I can find that story I read...

Kevin Smith Talks Screenwriting, "Slacker" and "Superman"

Exerpt from the story:
However ironically, it was J. Hoberman's review in the "Village Voice" that inspired Smith to venture into New York City on his 21st birthday to see Richard Linklater's "Slacker," the unconventional, character-driven indie that lacked high production values or stars. What struck Smith about the film was that the audience was going nuts and laughing themselves silly. On the heels of this revelation, Smith spent 1 1/2 years immersing himself in independent movies, from Jim Jarmusch to Spike Lee to Hal Hartley films. As Smith remembered, "'Slacker' was the film that got me off my ass."

If there is one thing I've learned living in Minnesota, it's that Canadians love their Hockey.  And beer too I guess, eh?

Did you guys ever see the 3" hockey figs?  I'm guessing no based on your post, but thought I'd ask.

Yeah, they saw a very limited run at Target stores mainly.  Most got in a case or two then nothing else.

I managed to score a complete set of series 1, but it took me a while to track down a second Brodeur set (for my sister).  There were 1-2 packs that pegwarmed for a bit (non-goalies), but most sold through pretty quick.  I'm willing to bet that the Gabby set will be the best seller round these parts though in series 3...

OK, now I'm confused.  See, I THOUGHT you were talking to Matt, but after that hockey comment, I'm wondering if you're now targeting someone from Tampa? :-*

No sadly, the Tampa Hockey Fans will disappear this season... along with the rest of the NHL fans  :-\

For the Minnesota guys, how many White Culpeppers am I chasing?

Not interested in the football guys, but you can certainly put me down for this one:

3-inch NHL two packs:
Series 3 - Steve Yzerman 2/Marian Gaborik

My Favorite Player as a youngling mixed in with my current favorite player?  :o

Sweeeeeeet.

Thanks, Bug!
