The Force Awakens / Re: Force Friday: What are You Buying?

Target near me had both the one aisle in toys and multiple seasonal aisles empty with labels. No sign of 6" Tie Fighter. Have we heard anything definitive on it being or not being available tonight?

I have been a staunch supporter of Hasbro being mediocre and not the Devil's minion as many have lately but I'm gonna be pissed if I find out those figs are exclusively at Tru or wherever when the east coasters tell me at 11pm central

ARC 170 fuselage with heavy pvc pipe added. Guy had it listed as blockade runner. The foam the customizer used inside the pipe needs improvement or needs to be redone but I like it.

The ARC 170 fuselage is kinda an odd choice I agree BUT I like that you can look at it and recognize that's from Star Wars

I know this doesn't really fit here, but I picked this up recently. Needs some finishing work, but thought it will make a neat addition to my Clone Wars ships and was ultra cheap.

I saw the Ashigaru Stormtrooper and Samurai Taisho Darth Vader at my local Barnes & Noble today.  The price tag was $95.95 for each of them.  Still, it's nice to see high end merch like this actually turning up at a store.

Thanks for the heads up and dang you for the heads up. I really want to see these in person

Um...... so........ meh.........

I know they had to build up some back story, but that was a long 90 minutes and I'm not sure it invested me in the characters at all as I assume they were hoping.

Can't decide if I should be happy or feel sick, but picked up the same Iron Giant (loose with no accessories this time) at a garage sale today for 25 cents.

Just an FYI I've seen the RV at some of the Targets around me for $50

Hi McMetal.

Did you pick up the Building Set of Dale's RV?

I don't disagree with that but not like the 2002/3 Saga line. Those poses are ridiculous.

Because I feel some weird obligation to stand up for the mediocre Hasbro, I just wanted to say that where I'm not willing to go as far as saying I'm glad they aren't making SA figs, I certainly don't mind the $8ish price tag for 5POA over the $14 Target for Black Series SA stuff.

I do acknowledge that when I finally get my figs all loose and displayed, I'm going for the "Grand Army of Figures" standing there at attention and not scenes that need articulation so take my opinion with a grain of salt.........

Watto's Junk Yard / Re: Super Hero/Comic Book Movies
« on: August 15, 2015, 08:54 AM »
Seeing "Ant Man" tonight. This will be the first "Comic Super Hero" movie I've ever initiated being willing to pay money to go see in the theater (I probably would have with "Guardians of the Galaxy", but just waited for Blu Ray). Fingers crossed. I'm counting on all of your opinions.

So how'd you like it?

I liked it. Didn't love it. It was very fun and funny. Ant-Man's cell mate/roommate was hilarious. I'm glad I paid to see it.

Oh and I lied, I did see the 3rd Nolan Batman in theaters because of how good the first two were.

I've been looking at some of the new toys on eBay and based off of what people are asking and paying I have to admit my confusion in not realizing these didn't come out until 9/4/2016.

I was thinking it was this year and thus people would just wait 3 weeks to pay retail. My bad.

The Force Awakens / Re: The Force Awakens 3.75" Armored/Deluxe Line

I'm assuming/hoping this armor thing is just a gimmick? Or do we "know" the Force Awakens characters will be wearing armor in the movie?
