Holy Crap :o  You guys won't believe this.  Y'know how Canada sucks as far as Star Wars toys go?  Well, you won't believe what I found.

Six Walmarts and all of one figure on the pegs, Twister Han ::) >:( :( :'(

Yep, Canada still sucks.

only time I won anything was at another board cough*rebelscum*cough that I seldom visit anymore.

I was lucky enough to get to pick in the top 25 people and managed to score my Walmart POTF2 poster.  All the toys were gone by the time I got to pick, but I was still damn pleased with what I got.

congrats dude.

NRG on trilogo? ;) ;D  Does it need a home where it won't be discriminated against for it's trilogo-ness?

Removing price stickers is easiest with goo-gone.  Nothing works better.  Just drop it on, leave stand for a couple of minutes then peel off the sticker like it was just sitting on top, rather than stuck.  Wipe off the residue and no damage, no discolouration at all.  I won't remove a sticker without it now. It just makes it so easy.

Not totally true.  Once case of the pilot wave showed up.  For a city of almost 700K.  That's reasonable, isn't it?

I gave up a long time ago on Canada.  Major kudos to the crew from Minnesota for keeping me up to date for the past year.  It's nice to find stuff in the store, but I don't expect it anymore.  I go to stores to look for LOTR, McFarlane, Marvel Legends, Spiderman stuff.  Maybe Simpsons, but we're blowing that too.  Instead of ordering portions of a Wave we just keep ordering the same wave over and over again.  Our TRU's are awful. They are clogged with Wave 10 while you guys are on wave 12. TRUly sad. :'(

Dang, Rhode Island.  Hmm, lots 'o boxes round here with Star Wars and RI stamped on them.  Nice for your collection, better for your sanity.  Hang in there.

That's the cool thing about being married.  No matter how much I drive Mrs. Bug nuts, she still likes to have me around.  And vice versa.  Lots of things are taken for granted, but better that than to be apart (yeah, I know, I'm not helping, but something for you to look forward too).

Better than sappy old Matt MegaBucks ;)

Too rich for me.  Maybe if I hadn't started on that McFarlane stuff, but not now.  Very sweet, but those fall into the after I win the lottery category.  Heck, I'm wrestling with Kubricks still.  Should I?  Shouldn't I?

To be honest, I'd be really surprised if I did find something you needed.  I suspect you are rather much more the master ebay hunter than I.  Nevertheless, first time I'd ever seen it and at the very least, others might find it interesting.

Just so you know, still no trilogo Jango pilot around me.  Quite sad.

Other Toy Lines / Stealth Predator
« on: April 28, 2003, 05:28 PM »
Waay off topic, but for those inclined to McFarlane's Movie Maniacs, the collector club exclusive Stealth version of the Predator is available NOW.  No idea how long it will last, but go today if you want it.  the last club exclusive sold out in about two days or so (deja - toy fair vader-esque).

Pretty cool figure and only $10 plus shipping.  Joining the club is free.  store is found here 8)

Oh yeah, be prepared to be at the computer a long time.  3 hours to get my order in.  Also very reminiscent of the toy fair vader saga.

Well, those Minnesota boys just keep at it.  3-2 win over the Canucks tonight to tie it up.  Looks to be a very nasty series.

Last shot of the game, Vancouver net empty, player skating in for a slapshot on the left wing and man, if he didn't look more occupied with running the MInnesota player than firing the shot, I'll be a monkey's uncle.  Really weird too.  Last shot, down by a goal, couple of seconds and you want to hit somebody?  Chippy, scrappy, going to get just plain ugly.

7 game series?

Well, the world is an interesting place.  At least if yo are a sports fan.

NBA today went as it should and as it shouldn't.  Much to Scott's dismay, the Lakers tied up the series.  No surprise at home though.

The bigger surprise, even to me, is the Celtics.  Pretty close to a strangle hold on their series with the Pacers.  Pretty cool, I must say.  Had an opportunity to take the Celtics in a bet, but chickened out.  Oops.

Other Collectibles / Re: Hallmark Star Wars
« on: April 27, 2003, 10:56 PM »
What's it like in the states?  By that I mean, are these only available direct and from Hallmark stores?  The latter is the only place I believe we can get these in Canada.  Additionally, retail is a bit of a "female dog" up here.  Not because the stuff isn't available just the pricing.  Death Star last year ran $31 plus 14% tax so kinda steep.

Boxing day, prices are half, so it's a bit of a crap shoot on this stuff.  If I know I'll be dragged to the mall boxing day, I watch the stock and see what is likely to remain.  If it is getting low in numbers and I really want it, I'll purchase it (eg. death star).  If not, I'll wait.  I missed out on Jedi Luke this year, but was fortunate enough to get Jango's Slave I for 1/2 off, so good deal.

The only thing I really want out of that group is the Tie.  I can almost see why the older Yoda is selling for more on ebay.
