About the Imperial uniform colors...I wouldn't put ROTS Tarkin in the same catagory.  Story wise, he appears 20 years before ANH.  If the Empire changed the color of the uniforms over that time, I wouldn't be surprised.

Yeah.  His stuff if fantastic.  Owen, if you're reading this, maybe you could do a step-by-step breakdwon of your next project.  If you've ever been to Niubniub's Diorama site, he does very, very detailed step-by-steps.  I would love to see one of your projects from the very beginning.

I've always wanted to repaint a vintage DS.  If I were you, I'd paint it gray like you  mentioned. You could also paint the long oval light shapes that are on the elevator column.  If you have photoshop,or access to someone who does, create some new card walls that are more accurate and up to date. Actually, thin styrene would slide into those groves very easily. It might also be cool to create some stickers for the floor grating.  My goal would be to make it look like a great now toy that Hasbro could release, and not a diorama.

Also, jump on ebay and see if you can locate a turret gun.  Paint that baby black, and you're in business!

Oh yeah, paint the compactors brown! 

Hey guys, I didn't mean to sound preachy.  Sorry if I came off that way.  I just want everyone to take deep breath before worrying about finding figures that have only been out for about two weeks. Patience is one of the key traits in collecting. 

Anyway, I was thinking about my statement about having found almost everything at retail.  Thinking back, the carziest finds were never at big box stores.  I found all of the EU figures at a drugstore.  I found the DST/Reeyees wave at a mom and pop toy shop in a crappy neighborhood in Brooklyn, and I found the TC-14 wave at another mom and pop shop.

It would be funny if Kit were selling magazine subscriptions and he would open the his briefcase to get the paperwork and  the case would be filled with water and flopping fish.

Speaking of odd SW dreams, years ago I had a dream that I got a blood transfusion from Chewbacca.
